2010 Tug Fork/Big Sandy Canoe Expedition
Again with another tributary blog that is .. well... a side stream from the usual discussion topics.
This Thursday, 5 other guys and I will embark on an adventure of epic proportions in a canoe that I recently built. We plan on bravely traveling the extended 150 mile stretch of unwavering dangerous white water from Pikeville, KY to Catlettsburg, KY known as the Tug Fork and furthermore the Big Sandy. Ok, so it's more like floating through a warm section on the lazy river at King's Island.
Armed with only $300 worth of supplies from the local Wal-Mart which includes but is not limited to: Jaw backer, S&W 0.40 live ammo, Glock 23C, skinning knife, mosquito spray, one bottle of Maker's Mark and 78 cans of Miller Lite, I will attempt to overcome this obstacle. The tentative schedule is 50 miles per day for three days.
Some say it can't be done. (drinking 78 beers that is) T0 these naysayers I give my usual reply,
"Come on you fucking pussies!!"
If for some reason my fantasy baseball team falls to the wayside due to my untimely death and, therefore lack of waiver activity, someone please don't let my well intentioned team finish below the Rubber Duckies.

Butch,
You had better be in Catlettsburg on the boat with Rambo when we pull in.
I'll call when we are close.
