Everything has now been confirmed, and should be taken as absolute gospel now because Alan Cutler and Kyle Tucker's hair have both confirmed what UK and Matt Jones didn't want to say earlier, but Marc Maggard did: Noel has in fact tore his ACL and his season, as well as more than likely his career at Kentucky are over.
Its a moot point now as to how long it was known this would be the news story of the day, some claim it was last night that UK became aware of the severity of the injury, others held out every last hope and got down right delusional waiting for a Lexington MRI that was just going to say Nerlens was good to go.
People were pitching tents when it was stated, about 3 minutes after UK said they wouldn't have any statements today, that there were no broken bones. Good news, yes, but it wasn't even the question asked. It was filler. It was a diversionary tactic until they could let everything sink in to themselves as to what they had in store for the rest of the season.
And anybody who actually believed all they did was X Ray Noel in Florida last night, is a very naive individual. Folks, it just don't work that way. X Rays and CT Scan would have been ordered before Nerlens would have had time to put on his ass-less gown.
