Marc Maggard tweeting Noel's test results show torn ACL and MCL

Apparently, the results of the testing done on Nerlens Noel last night after he left the game are in.

And every fear that a Kentucky fan could have, are becoming a reality. Not to mention every fear a kid just wanting to play basketball has.

It is being reported that Noel has indeed torn both his ACL and MCL in his left knee, which if that is the case means this season is over for him and now you have to begin the consider the real underlying factor in all this: Will this kid ever be the same?

Nerlens Noel injured his knee on a hustle play. He injured his knee on a play that more often than not, he would be the only person on this Kentucky team willing to make. He ran down a guard on a fast break and caught up to him, then did what Nerlens does, he swatted everything out of the air like he was Israeli ground defense.

The landing, however, was what did him in.

So, nothing is being confirmed right now, but it appears to be a good idea to consider Nerlens Noel done.

Also, it is being said of these results that they are waiting on a second opinion. I just hope Nerlens Noel will be able to play at the level he was again someday, and this doesn't turn into one of those situations where years from now, people can't help but wonder how good he could've been.

Don't forget though, this is all being reported by the way by Marc Maggard, so take it for what it's worth when it comes to anything that comes out of that guy's mouth. Matter of fact, he is getting in the ever manly internet machine/Twitter fisticuffs with folks as we speak. I think it has to do more with anger and desperation on behalf of Kentucky fans in this instance, than it does with Maggard's douche-ocity, though... Bummer.

But seriously, did you see the injury last night? Hard to question this news even if it came from a Ronnie Milsap eyewitness report.

Yeah, I make inappropriate attempts at humor when I'm hurting.

Just to make it perfectly clear, this news is being tweeted by a self-anointed basketball guru, and in no way is a direct and official statement from anyone associated with the UK Basketball program. Matter of fact, the program has said that they do not have an injury update on Noel at this time and do not plan to announce any such update throughout the day.
