High Tide in New Orleans, washes out Bayou Bengals

At some point tomorrow morning, Les Miles will decide to change his offensive scheme. The only fault with that, is that it will be too late.
The Crimson Tide dominated and rolled over LSU, winning the BCS Title Game 21-0 in New Orleans.
Nobody expected the scoreboards to light-up with any sort of Pac 12 frequency in the BCS Title Game, considering two SEC defensive juggernauts where about to go to battle in Dixie. However, the fact that LSU wasn't even able to get into field goal range was a surprise.
Alabama completely dominated LSU tonight in the Superdome, and we must swallow that bitter, honey-coated pill we were trying to force on the rest of you.
Now, LSU's defense was up to the task, it did hold Alabama out of the endzone until the waning moments of the game. However, the anemic offense and Alabama just totally putting Jordan Jefferson in the corner, did not help the Bayou Bengals' cause. Honey Badger may not have gave one shit, but some Big Red Elephants did not give any ground. Jefferson was smothered and covered all night, and could not get the slightest bit of offense going. Bama was just too good on this night.
And whatever mental block you would think would be on the Tide's kicking game after the failures in the first meeting, well, they weren't there. Bama's kicker Shelly split the uprights 5 times, missing only two attempts. One sailing wide, and the other being blocked by an LSU player who appeared to be Kamala, The Ugandan Giant.
The big question here is what would it have hurt to put in Jarrett Lee? Why did Miles stay so loyal to Jefferson all night, when it was obvious things were just not going to work out. Jefferson ended the night throwing for 53 yards, rushing for 15 and having one interception.
On the other side, AJ McCarron was great. The Bama Boy amassed 234 yards in the air as he led the Crimson Tide down the field time and time again.Trent Richardson also went to work, pounding his way for every yard he could muster, which ended up being just shy of 100 on 20 carries. Richardson's longest run was his, and the game's only, touchdown of 34 yards late in the 4th.
LSU couldn't get the running game going, which led to not being able to establish any sort of passing game with Jefferson's arm. Said arm and the rest of Jordan Jefferson, along with the decision making on LSU's behalf drew loud boos from the Tiger faithful. They were begging for a change. Les Miles didn't break the dollar.
5 field goals and one TD is what we got. Apparently big boy college football in good for only 21 points.
So, let the debate begin. Should Oklahoma State have gotten the chance to play? Probably not. If they would have been put in the game, they would have played #1 LSU, and now that we have seen what Bama did to them, it just wouldn't have been right to have left them out. Besides, I think Arkansas would handle Oklahoma State. I know...I know... Too much SEC homer-ism.
I think the match-up was the right one. No, I don't think anybody expected it to have been so one-sided, but i don't think it mattered who played Alabama tonight. The tide was just too high, and it was rolling.
