Spreadology 2011

Colorado State vs. TCU -34. Where have you gone Alex Van Pelt? I can recall a time when I would take the Rams every Saturday Night in a drunken stooper. I would either be greedy and looking for more or just wanting to inch closer to even regardless of the situation The Rams and Van Pelt were my play. Back in those days Colorado State was a 7-8 Win program today the Rams only goal seems to be finishing out of the cellar in the Mountain West. TCU on the other hand is playing it's best football of the season when it matters most and the W over Boise State last week has certainly put the Horned Frogs back on the map. As is the case 95% of the time when two team are heading in the opposite direction take the team that is heading to the shitter. After last weeks emotional road victory look for the Horned Frogs to win with ease but expect some lackluster play by either the offense or defense making a 5 TD spread pretty enticing.

SMU vs. Houston -20. I don't know the entire history of ESPN Gameday but without looking in the encyclopedia I'm guessing Saturday's trip will be the first to Cougar Town. Given the added excitement surrounding the event I fully expect the Cougar offense to hang up 40+ with Case Keenum tossing a minimum of 5 TD passes. All of this should lead to a easy Cougar victory however June Jones and friends will likely blow a bulb or two out of the Visitors column come Saturday making the 20 to tasty to pass up from a value standpoint. Look for the Mustangs to hang around until the fourth and just hope they hang on the final 15 Minutes.

USC vs. Oregon O 68.5. Everyone knows about both of these offenses. Bradley is a first round draft pick while Oregon is the best quick strike offense in college football. Both teams have solid defenses in general but I feel both teams matchup well. USC has to many weapons to be shutdown while Oregon's offense isn't a good fir the the inexperienced USC Defense. Look for a tightly contested battle for 3 quarters with the Quack attack pulling away in the 4th regardless of the Head to Head outcome I fully expect a 75+ point game.

Picks: Colorado State +34, SMU +20, USC/Oregon Over 68.5

Last Week 1-1

YTD 17-13

Other Recommendations: UK +31, Redskins +7, Falcons -6, Browns -1
