Put Tulane on hold...

TCU has decided to stay in the region it is in, rather than make the move to the Big East, as was planned before the bottom fell out of it. However staying home does not mean staying put for the Horned Frogs. TCU has joined the rebuilding Big 12, replacing Texas A&M. Now, the Big 12 needs to only replace Nebraska, Colorado, and Perhaps Missouri, to be back at full strength, numbers wise.
I still think that Tulane is the untapped resource here, but, would not mind seeing SMU added to the mix. And, just to regain the market they lost with Colorado bolting to the Pac Whatever, It would be a wise move, logistically and for TV numbers perhaps, to add Colorado State.
Early indications are proving that the Big 12 may be alright, after all. All they have to do now is keep everyone happy, and at the same time keep Texas happy. Hard to do.

As far as the TCU fan base and traveling purposes, this is the only move that makes sense. Unfortunately, to get mileage out of TCU, this move/addition may be 2 years too late.
