The Autumn Wind is a pirate
Blustering in from sea
With a rollicking song he sweeps along
swaggering boisterously
His face is weather beaten
He wears a hooded sash
With his silver hat about his head
And a bristly black moustache
He growls as he storms the country
A villain big and bold
And the trees all shake and quiver and quake
As he robs them of their gold
The Autumn wind is a Raider
Pillaging just for fun
He'll knock you 'round and upside down
And laugh when he's conquered and won.
Al Davis was many things to many people, and in recent years, more like decades, he severly hurt his own franchise by the way he ran it. The Silver and Black became insignificant years ago, aside from those freaks who dress up like every sunday is Halloween, latinos, and Ice Cube, who lived and died for Oakland/LA/Almost Irwindale/Oakland.
But like Sinatra said, he did it his way.
I really don't find it a shock to read this news today, by looking at his deteriorated appearance in the last several years, one could have easily confused him for a member of the walking dead or Nerf football that had been left out in the rain. He did not look good at all.
But, out of respect for what he has done, how important he was to the game, and for being a pioneer in many aspects, we decided to show this picture of Al.
Just Win, Baby.
