Before we dive into the Fanalitical World of the 64/60 I would like to rant on the In's and Out's, if you will, of the Sports World over the last week or so. Consider this a new format for the In-N-Out. According to the TV ratings I may need to remind everyone the Fall Classic is underway. I don't particularly care that the World Series fails to outdraw even regular season NFL contest I know I enjoy it. Typically I would support nearly any NL team over someone from the Junior Circuit however the lone exception would be the Cardinals. LaRussa, though sure first ballot HOF, gets under my skin with the countless maneuvers that he just makes up half the time. My best guess would be a bad case of hemorrhoids that tend to flare up more often the older he gets. With the exception of the football game that broke out in game 3 all of the contest have been low scoring and tightly contested, exactly the way playoff baseball should be. Rain may have moved the game 6 to Thursday Night but it only delayed the inevitable, Rangers 2011 World Series Champions. Cubs hire Theo Epstein to run Baseball Operations and lead them to a World Championship. Critics of Epstein will be quick to point out the recent Red Sox free agent bust but I would quickly ask when was the last time someone other than the Major Market teams had a bust. The point is when you are dealing in Billions while the others have millions your 8 million per year deal is equivalent to the Padre types bringing in veterans on a one year deal. With that in mind those type deals work out less than 50% of the time. Back on topic. Epstein will build up the farm system and likely avoid the big ticket free agent in season one outside of a run for Jarvish. Look for the Cubs to be active on the relief market and bring in better clubhouse personalities to help in changing the culture. To the Pigskin. After last weeks upsets of Wisconsin and Oklahoma it appears likely that once again the BCS could be saved once again. As most of you know I am not a playoff guy and though I realize the BCS is flawed the events of last week would have meant nothing outside of Lubbock and East Lansing. Let's please stop the Tebow nonsense. He was terrible for 58 minutes last Sunday and even in the final two minutes and overtime he was average at best. He didn't recover the onside Kick and he did nothing in OT. Had Tebow not been Tebow the first 58 minutes than the Comeback that is his legend would not have been. All he does is win! 2-3 Record as a starter. Give Me Quinn For the Win.
To 64/60 business here we are 7 weeks into the season and the Commissioners lax enforcement of the Dave Hobson Rule has caused a high rate of Non-Payment. With a 12pk or so in me on draft night my memory could easily be clouded but here is what I have. Both McClung's are paid in full, Bill Fenney, Dave Hobson, Ownership Of Seneca Wallace and Tim Davidson all are in good standings. Therefore consider this your Past Due Bill Notice From The 64/60 Offices Chris Lee, James Hardy, GRC3, and Ownership of the Thomas R. Browns. Please send Check or Money Order to the League Office and always Cash is accepted on site. A email will be sent to all league owners containg the above information if any of it's contents are inaccurate please inform me so proper credit can be given. Thank you and have a good day.
Game Recaps
BCFP 146 vs. Busy Beavers 132. Not many tightly contested battles this week. As this 14 point blowout was the closest thing to a game the 64/60 had. Holding a narrow 3 point edge heading into Monday's action the Factory was feeling pretty good with Flacco and Boldin still left while the Beavers had only the Ravens D in reserve. 3 Quarters and a mere 50 yards passing later I was down by 9. Then came the 4th Quarter as the Ravens D gave up more than 10 and Flacco found Boldin in the Endzone with 4 minutes left. Another week of 64/60 action another W for the Factory.
12th Round Kicker 130 vs. Barboursville Stars 84. Dave Hobson has had his moments as a 64/60 owner. Most of his success stories have been on the Pigskin side of things. Last seasons Championship brought Hobson some well deserved respect from other 64/60 Owners including the Commissioner. As great as last season was having a winning record with this group of players could be his biggest success story yet. His 995 points ranks him second only to the 9irons for fewest points scored yet here is sitting at 4-3 in 5th place and poised for another playoff appearance. The loss takes the Stars below the .500 mark on the season. And the inclusion of AJ Green (Bye) and Peyton Hillis (Injury) in the active roster has friends and family members concerned for the Senior McClungs well being. Roster negligence is expected from the likes of GRC3 but not from a go getter such as Mike. For your own well being and the betterment of the 64/60, Mike get whatever is going on taken care of and regain your control of the Barboursville Stars.
Marshall Maniac 180 vs. Seneca Wallace 146. The Maniac's are alone at the top spot in the standings and his 1266 points are nearly 100 pts better than anyone in the field. Who would have thought a team built around the Panthers offense would have such a strong hold over the league. Brandon's confidence is well earned but I must continue to warn him. This fairy tale season will not continue on it's current path. At some point Newton will be a B level QB and Steve Smith will revert back to a second tier WR at best. Once that day comes I will send each text reminder of Cam Newtons greatness back to the Junior McClung and he will no doubt seek my advice from that point forward. The loss knocks Wallace down to .500 but the 1192 points, good for second best on the season, suggest to me this squad should be in it come December. Also I would like to congratulate Bowe and Barker for properly pimping out a roster. So much time is spent sending ridiculous trade offers to various owners. And outside of Ev Lemaster's inability to Just Say No more often than not these request go unresponded. When you want to make a deal publicize what you want and what your willing to move in a league wide format for all the see. Presto, two days later a deal is done and another well earned Medal for Wallace.
Sons Of Jim Mora 144 vs. * 101. The team, formerly known as Three Penis Wine, has put themselves in quite a prediciment over the first two months. After Todd's re commitment to the 64/60 during the baseball season, hopes were high that the 2011 Football Campaign would be a success. After nearly two months the season could already be over. I suspect 7 Wins will be needed to be in the playoff conversation with this in mind the * must go 5-1 down the stretch. If the first two months are any indication the 61ers season is in the books. For Fenney the W cements his status(DISCLAIMER: THE USE OF STATUS IN THIS SENTENCE IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH FACEBOOK) as nothing more or nothing less than solid.
Curtis Painters Mane 181 vs. Thomas R. Browns 115. After the first month of the season the 64/60 was celebrating the agony that was Christopher Lee's miserable start to the season. Vick was a bust, Manning was a wasted pick, Felix Jones was a celebrated 3rd down back, and Colston was injured. Fast forward three weeks and though most of the aforementioned has not changed Bopp is still the owner of Calvin Johnson, his record is only one game away from .500 and his 1131 points is 4th best in the league. The Bopp would like nothing more than do beat yours truly to reach the .500 mark and the absence of Aaron Rodgers will certainly make the task easier. However I vow that I will not lose to anyone ever that features Tim Christ Tebow at QB. Bulletin Board Material Bopp: I GUARANTEE VICTORY. The loss moves the TRB below the .500 mark and word out of the 41129 is the front office could have some tension amongst it's figure heads. For the sake of the 64/60, and any owner wanting to make a deal, hopefully these two can mend the fence moving forward and continue the pursuit to shake things up.
Chump Slayers 129 vs. Bye Week 90. After a disappointing 2010 campaign James Hardy is horny to reestablish himself as a force to be reckoned with in Fantasy Football. The win may have come at the expense of the shameful 9irons but you have to credit a person willing to pull the trigger on a wounded dog crying for his demise. 5-2 is where the Slayers find themselves and this incarnation of a James Hardy Jointe looks closer to the 2008-2009 version than the 2010 version built by Jack Daniels. GRC3 where have you gone? You have traded daily lineup adjustments for Lattes at Starbucks and the hunt for the next big sale means more than the pursuit of a 64/60 Championship. GRC3 don't forget where you came from.
Trade Analysis
Thomas R. Browns send Matt Schaub and Aaron Hernandez to Seneca Wallace for LeGarrette Blount, Kevin Kolb, and Victor Cruz. The empty hole that is RB for the TRB's has caused countless nights without sleep for Gilberto and Everett and finally the long organizational meetings have paid off. Blount provides them with a solid B level RB and his thuggish behavior is exactly the type of player TRB covets. Sure Kolb is a downgrade from Schaub but once it all plays out I suspect the numbers from this point forward to be somewhat similar. The point being neither player will likely win many weeks for you. Cruz doesn't have the track record to suggest he can sustain his current B level production but given the Giants WR state it appears he will get every opportunity to do so. Hernandez is a rare A-B level player at the Catcher equivalent position of TE however given the wealth of options the Patriots have you should expect the occasional 5 point week. The end result is two teams that are very pleased with the deal. Seneca Wallace exchanged some of there depth for two of the best 3 players in the deal while the TRB's responded promptly to the personnel add and addressed it's biggest issue, lack of RB. Congratulations to you all, here at the 64/60 Offices we have four beers waiting for you.
Pickup Of The Week
Jason Hill- BCFP. Hill could be dropped two weeks down the road but with the available talent pool you are looking for the most breakout potential. The Jaguars are void of a true #1 and in the limited Jaguar action I have seen it appears Gabbert tends to target Hill more than others. For a mere $5 I nabbed a potential 10 point per week player. Of course he could be yours for the taking next week.
Head Scratcher Of The Week
Ben Watson- Thomas R. Browns. Once again hard to really fault any of the moves this week but someone has to take the honors. With that in mind how about the TRB's who's reactionary approach to roster management can cause them to be trigger happy at times. Watson clearly has been a top target of Colt McCoy and though the last two weeks haven't been strong he should be a solid source of 8 points or so per week. Give the Browns some occasional Red Zone conversions and your looking at a potential 10 point per week play.

A. I've already guaranteed victory....In case you haven't noticed I'm on a league wide Victory Guaranteed Tour.
You will absolutely fucking lose!
B. Epstein will not win a World Series in Chicago......
Friedman was the only guy who could help that worthless abortion of a team. It's easy to look brilliant when you have a decisive advantage over every team in the league but 1.
Let's see how much of a "boy wonder", Epstein is when he's on a more level playing field and his front office mistakes become increasingly magnified without the security blanket that is $1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.
"I don't particularly care that the World Series fails to outdraw even regular season NFL contest I know I enjoy it."
How many seats are there in a baseball stadium? How many in a football stadium?
I wonder why the World Series fails to outdraw a regular season NFL contest.
