I would like to thank every member of the 64/60 Nation for their patience over the course of the last three months. Once upon a time, followers of this site could rest assured that on a daily basis I, Josh Coleman, would contribute something to this site. Over the course of the past three months this has changed. No longer do I contribute items on a daily basis. My 5-6 post per week has dwindled down to 2-3 as my constituents I realize the effects my abscence has caused on your lives and for that I am sorry. The time once used for research and thought provoking topics has been used escorting the potential future of local High School Football to where they need to be. While not dominating competition as a 4FT CB who's afraid to press coverage the elder son is absorbing his mind with events of the past in order to obtain victory in a weekly competition of Academia. As if my plate wasn't already full enough along came my second consecutive 64/60 Baseball Championship and with it my second consecutive media tour to absorb any remaining free time on the schedule. In the very near future many of the time consuming task will have come to an end for the season but as is the case in life when one door closes another one will open. What I ask from you is simple. Please continue to show me the same patience you have given over the last several months and I will continue to put up poorly written, opinionated post at my earliest convenience. As always if you would be interested in submitting your own posting please do so at anytime just make sure not to make my work forgettable and praise me every chance you get.
Game Recaps
Thomas R. Browns 147 vs. Busy Beavers 145
Game of the week as the TRB's held of a Monday Night rally from the Busy Beavers. The Thomas R. Browns W, was a direct result of a prompt and devoted 64/60 Front Office who luckily for the TRB's don't believe in off days. Could I have dragged this trade out untill Sunday to keep Turner and Harvin on my roster? Absolutely, but as a man of integrity I implemented the trade immediately and added two non-active players to my roster. Still to this day I have not be given the proper appreciation I deserve.
Curtis Painters Mane 159 vs. Chump Slayers 133.
From a team that should praise me to a matchup of two owners who despise the Commissioners rulings. No owners have been more vocal of their displeasure for the two QB setup than Christopher and Jamison. Christopher loved the two QB setup on draft day after nabbing Vick and Peyton and envisioning a two headed monster that would lead to league domination. Six weeks later Vick has been a bust and Manning hasn't played and Chrissy has become bitter. For Jamison his displeasure has been there since day one and having to start Jon Kitna and penciling in a 0 this week only feed the fury. Luckily for my self preservation the Painters handed the Slayers a ugly defeat and the 10-15 points likely earned by a typical B QB still wouldn't have been enough.
Marshall Maniac 157 vs. Sons Of Jim Mora 141
Without a doubt the biggest suprise in the early going of the 64/60 has been the play of Rookie Brandon McClung. Given the precedent set forth by his father in combination with his own poor performance in the 64/60 Auction Baseball League not much was expected from the Junior McClung coming into the season. Somehow his band of misfits have gelled together and produced the top team in the league nearly two months in. On the flipside much was expected of the Son's of Jim Mora but much like Jim Mora Jr. the expectations have failed to materialized up to this point. At 3-3 Fenney is certainly still in the hunt but with his 963 points scored puts him 6th in the league and the upcoming Bye Weeks have his roster looking as though a 3-4 start is in the works.
Barboursville Stars 157 vs. Seneca Wallace 155
My apologies for the oversight of this matchup when giving the game of the week honors to the Beavers and TRB mathcup. McClung not only finished with the two point edge but he also overcame a double digit defiecit on Monday Night. The win brings the Stars back to .500 but it's still clear to everyone that the Senior McClung can not get the visions of Mike Napoli's monster close to the season out of his mind. The loss gets the Seneca's off the top two spots in the standings for the first time in several weeks. Despite the loss the biggest ongoing issue Barker and Bowe must deal with is filtering through all the trade proposals sent via the TRB's who have been in desperate need of a RB which is certainly the position the Wallaces have cornered the market on.
* 149 vs. Argumentative 9irons 107
When you stumble out of the gate at 1-4 the must win games come rather quickly. So in Week 6 the * were blessed with the closest thing to a buy week in the history of the 64/60, the Argumentative 9irons, who are on pace to go down as the worst fantasy football team in league history. If that isn't enough this group arguably could be the worst fantasy team ever regardless of sport or organization. The term Argumentative suggest this team is prepared to fight to prove it's point. If the first six weeks are any inidaction this unit has no fight in them. I demand a name change to the Unscheduled Bye Week's and let the pursuit of a perfectly unperfect season begin.
BCFP 125 vs. 12th Rd Kicker 111
I could spend hours recapping the season the BCFP has had. I could reflect on a dominating regular season performance in baseball. I could remind everyone of my run through the playoffs. I could remind everyone that with this win I have moved into second place in the standings and am well on my way to becoming the first 64/60ian ever to win both titles in the same season. Sure I could do all of these things but I prefer to take the high road. Very few people like those who point out all of their success and omit all of their failures. So the result of this mathcup had nothing to do with my excellent roster management or my ability to cause other teams to massively underproduce when I face them. This win is a direct result of a favorable matchup and in no way did any of the aforementioned, albeit accurate statements play a part.
Trade Recap
BCFP send Michael Turner and Percy Harvin to the Thomas R Browns for Vincent Jackson and Julio Jones. The move makes sense from both sides. The TRB's were in desperate need for a RB since the loss of Charles to start the season and Jackson gives the BCFP the most explosive point potential in the deal. The early results heavily favor the TRB's as Turner exploded with a 2 TD 26 point performance last week and Harvin had his best game of the season. In the long term I tend to favor my side of the deal as though Turner may be the more consistent double digit point earner, Jackson is the most explosive player in the deal and by seasons end I look for Jones to outproduce Harvin by at least 25%. Regardless the move greatly improved the roster of the TRB's because a roster of Delone Carter and fill in the blank third string RB won't get you to the playoffs.
Pickup Of the Week
DeMarco Murray Curtis Painters Mane/Tashard Choice-BCFP. Regardless of Felix Jones's injury status, it has been very clear thus far that he doesn't seem to be a elite RB option. Therefore expect the Cowboys to employee a 3 RB rotation in which they all have some value. Murray will likely be the Goaline guy while Choice could easily be counted on for 5 catches per game out of the backfield which means he is only a TD away from a double digit performance. Should Jones miss anytime both Murray and Choice could double their expected performances and both reward double digit points to owners. All for the combined cost of $12.
Head Scratcher Of the Week
Carson Palmer $75 in FAAB from Busy Beavers. Don't get me wrong, having Sam Bradford as your #2 has certainly been painful this season but 75% of your FAAB budget for a player who has yet to play this season? For the record I like the move for both the Raiders and the Bengals and I do expect Palmer to play effectively at some point. With that said his production will not be at a league elite level and in my opinion with 10 weeks or so left in the season that type of FAAB money should be reserved for potential impact players. In a week of few questionable moves the over bidding on Palmer makes Mr. Clean the cash careless owner of the week.

Why do we not have any world series coverage on this blog?
Please advise.
Jesse
The lack of WS coverage is due to a few factors Irontonian:
A. I am tired of doing everything
B. The Cards are in it and are forcing me to pull for an AL team because I disgust LaRussa that much.
C. Further proof that maybe baseball is a tad too long.
Understood.
The Texas Rangers are easy to like though.
Coleman support Kain and write an analysis on game one and two.
thanks,
Jesse
