In-N-Out The 64/60

I think everyone can agree that it's only fitting the Bear Creek FP Factory and Barboursville Stars deserve to be the final two standing. Though I cannot recollect off the top of my head but I believe not a single team outside of the aforementioned squads spent a day in first place over the course of the 22 Week Regular season. Outside of the 64/60's inaugural season I cannot recall another time a season had been so exclusively dominated by so few. In fact this season is shaping up just as it should. Walls Of Jericho and Coalton Country Lads will battle for 3rd and 4th place which is exactly where their teams should be ranked. The top 7 teams in the standings were easily the seven best teams and though I feel Tom Emanski's Deathsquad deserved better than being the odd man out it's hard to argue against the effort put forth over the long season by Ev Lemaster and The Militia who's 9-2 thumping of the Argumentative 9irons, who's White Flag had been waved months ago, cemented their spot in 5th place and effectively closed shop on the 2011 season. Ev Lemaster has now moved on to differentiating between all those damn Gronkowski's who are the Molina's of the NFL. So with the early week action already in the books we have about another week of MLB action as Mike and myself will no doubt battle like Titans as I am in pursuit of a 64/60 first, Back to Back Championship. For McClung a victory would present a first 64/60 Championship while also relieving some of the pressure Brandon must feel in carrying the weight of an entire family.

Football Week 2

Marshall Maniac 213 vs. BCFP 152. While the BCFP was completely focused on advancing to yet another 64/60 Championship Game the Junior McClung did what his father will fail to do. For the Factory it's hard to compete with two starters producing goose eggs and one a direct result of poor management by yours truly. The win brings the Maniacs to 1-1 despite a league leading 393 points. However let me be the first to state that expecting 20 point games every week from Cam Newton is fools gold.

Sons of Jim Mora 192 vs. Chump Slayers 166. It's only week 2 yet the SOJ's are the lone team without a blemish on their record. While I'm not sold on the depth the SOJ's have to offer what cannot be ignored is that fantasy football is often decided by one superstar. In the early going without a doubt the brightest star of all has been none other than Tom Brady. Though the Chump Slayers suffered a minor setback one has to be optimistic on how this squad is shaping up. Jordy Nelson was a late round flier who appears to be emerging as Aaron Rodgers favorite target while it seems Matt Forte could really become a 1800+ yardage player with 70 catches out of the backfield.

Barboursville Stars 198 vs Argumentative 9irons 169. Kudos to McClung for picking up two W's during the week I was presented with the same challenge and failed miserably. Of course it just goes to show how much the success of the Barboursville Stars has been because of the players rather than the skill set of ownership. For the 9irons it's a 0-2 start and all signs are pointing towards another miserable season of that sport GRC3 has much resentment towards. However now a days it seems GRC3 is living a world of eagles and birdies and he will let nothing piss in his Starbucks.

Seneca Wallace 192 vs. BC Fightin Amish 156. Before these two square off in the consolation round of the baseball playoffs Bowe and Barker decided to bring the fight to the punchless Amish. Not so long ago Christopher came out of the gates in baseball rather lethargic only to piece a respectable unit together. It appears another face lift will need to be in the works to have this collection Fightin again. Outside of the Indianapolis Colts I don't know of another team that has been more adversely effected than the Amish. The loss of Manning has them resorting to Kerry Collins while the assumed solid pick in Clark could very well become a inconsistent week to week play. I have no doubt Christopher is working out trade scenarios that benefit him and reward you with barely rosterable options so I suggest all ownership should be monitoring their inbox.

Three Penis Wine 181 vs. Thomas R. Browns 143. After shocking the world in week one and even reminding everyone of the accomplishments via these very pages the TRB's produced weekly low point totals despite 39 from one individual. Seven players failed to produce more than five points. After the draft I felt this team would be a all or nothing play and after two weeks that prognostication appears to be accurate. If your 3PW you have to be felling pretty good with the early production of your QB's who you knowingly rolled the dice with. If someone can emerge as a legit 2 back this unit could be a force to be reckoned with.

Busy Beavers 179 vs. 12th Round Kicker 152. Both teams had huge games from their marquee backs but the Busy Beavers had more of a supporting cast this week. Both teams had employed the stars and scrubs approach as the Beavers had 6 players producing over 15 points while 5 players scored below 6 pts. For the Kickers 3 performers produced over 15 points, however four produced two points or below. Despite the loss Hobson is no doubt holding his head high as old Mason Crosby once again solidified his 12th Round selection at the games most important position.

Pickup Of The Week

BC Fightin Amish- David Nelson. I don't know what kind of record the Bills will end 2011 with but I am quite certain their offense will produce enough FP's to go around. Nelson has emerged as the number two threat in a very pass friendly offense and though I expect a few off games along the way Nelson was the lone must start picked up this week.

Head Scratcher Of The Week

Chump Slayers- Carnell Williams ($70 in FAAB). I will be the first to admit I don't exactly follow the day to day injury news on football but I don't recall any news feeds suggesting Jackson could be lost for a significant amount of time. Assuming this is correct I can't justify spending 70% of my Free Agent Budget on a potential 3-4 Week RB who's skill set offers any significant upside other than being a starting RB in the NFL.
