For the record this 2011 season could be wide open. I really like all the teams among my TOP 15 and could easily see a scenario where any of them are hoisting the BCS Championship outside of USC (postseason ban). I do not however see a dominate team among them. Oklahoma is loaded from a talent standpoint however there biggest issues from the last several season, poor tackling and inept goaline play on offense, seem to be a result from a finese style of play. Alabama is loaded on the defensive side of the ball but have no experience at QB and lose their biggest offensive home run threat in Jones. With your typical SEC schedule ahead of them you figure somewhere along the line this will expose itself. Boise State steps up it's schedule this year and must face the Bulldogs of Georgia at a neutral sight, wink wink, in Atlanta. LSU always seems to play close games and the percentages say you can't go 6-1 in such contest year in and year out. And Oregon, who opens up the year vs. LSU, should fall closer to the rest of the Pac 12 with major losses on D and my projected improved play from the second tier of conference teams such as Arizona State, Washington, Oregon State and UCLA. In fact among my Top 10 teams Virginia Tech without a doubt has the easiest road to a perfect season with it's toughest road contest appearing to be Georgia Tech then getting Clemson and Miami at Home. As for the remaining Top 25 some could potentially work their way into the TOP 10 at some point but they all appear to be 3 to 4 loss teams by seasons end. Tulsa coming in at 22 may raise some eyebrows but at this point they are a 10 win team from last season and return 18 starters by season end this selection could very well appear laughable but keep in mind their schedule includes road dates vs. Oklahoma and Boise State as well as Oklahoma State at Home as well as SMU and Houston who could also jump into the role of BCS crashers out of Conference USA.
Did I leave your team out? Is someone to High or to Low? Questions or Comments? There isn't many other things I like to do more than to debate sports so please send me your complaints and I'll gladly send a rebutle. After all it's College Football and the debate is what makes it grand.
