*Alomar and Blylevin are elected into the HOF. This is interesting because McGwire Palmero and Juan Gone are eligible but linked to steriods and are left out. Alomar and his 10 gold gloves deserves to be there. I never saw Blylevin play but he is in the top 5 in shutouts.
*Blake Griffin is in the NBA dunk contest. This contest is played out and just for the kids and stuff but I will watch this year because of Griffin. He is a super athletic big who can fly. I see a few perfect scores for the rookie of the year so far.
*Titans part ways with former 1st rd pick Vince Young. Missing in the first rd. can set a franchise back a number of years and this seems to be what is happening in Nashville. The Texans look smarter and smarter for passing on Bush, Young, and Linert. The Texans seem stupid for hanging on to coach Kubiak though.
*Frank Edgar and Grey Maynerd fought for all the marbles at 165 last weekend and put on a show. 25 minutes long, many knockdowns, and a incredible comeback all highlighted the fight of the year so far that finished in a 5 rd. draw. Dana White said the rematch is already in the works.
*Chiel Sonnen pleads guilty to money laundering or something and can not fight Silva after Silva fights Belfort. This puts one more fight out of the way for a potential GSP Silva pound for pound title fight. This would be the biggest fight in the history of the UFC.
