The Iceman Thaws Out...

In a move that we all seen coming, Chuck Liddell has apparently made it official, He is retiring.

I have to admit, I was never a big fan of the Ice Man, and found myself rooting against him more often than not. Looking back, a lot of it probably had to do with that chick from Natural Born Killers being one of his biggest supporters. I just don't like that chick, which is odd because I love King of the Hill and Christmas Vacation. Yup, I pulled for Tito, and got absolutely gitty when Rampage would thump on him. 7th Grade school-girl gitty.

Personal Preferences in half-naked combat aside, Liddell was a great fighter, and he is one of the most recognizable faces of MMA thanks to the Dana White machine that is Zuffa.

Now, since he is gone from the MMA world, or maybe more appropriately UFC, we can get a scipted version of his feuding with Kurt Angle to come to actuality... It was probably all scripted to begin with though... I am sure Liddell will be back . It's the same story as with Pro Wrestling. This thing is their mistress. Their drug. They devote their in entire lives to it. They can't, or maybe more appropriately don't know how, to live without it. So, I am sure Chuck will be back to be concussed another day. Shamrock and Severn have the same issues.

Liddell will hang it up after tallying a record of 21-8, professionally. Liddell will now become an office boy for UFC/Zuffa, as he will transition from fighter to executive in the role of Executive Vice President of Business Development for the company.
