I was just checking out a feed from WLW out of Cincinnati, and the Reds have promoted Ken Griffey, Sr., from hitting coach for the Dayton Dragons to the skipper of the Bakersfield Blaze. It's great to see the Original Griffey being moved up and around in the organization. He was a very vital piece of those great Big Red Machine teams, and is one of my all-time favorite players, so I got a huge soft spot for him already. Now, if only the Braves would hire Bob Horner, the world would be perfect.
