Awww.. Autumn Saturday's in the South....
Usually, when a fledgling program that has the potential and only missing a few key elements, like Kentucky makes the 'front page' of the Worldwide Leader's CFB home page, a filling of accomplish and just desserts would be had...Not the case this time...Though I agree with alot of what Randall Cobb said in his Tweet Tirade directed at the fickle UK fanbase, he issued an apology, that apology is what garnered Randall Cobb front page headlines. Which is sad because he is a legit Top 10 player in the country. Any fan, or so called fan, of the Program should just shut the hell up and quit crying about anything Randall Cobb says about them... For all he has done for our Program, he deserves to be able to spit in a newborn's face...twice.
I mentioned it before, but the SEC east is wide the fuck open right now... The Cats, The Cocks, Dawgs, and Gators are all in contention to take home the East Division and play in the Dome. I also stated that the Cats are going to run the table and be in that game. I still feel that way. It's starts saturday for the Cats and the Dawgs, as they will meet in Commonwealth.
Urb and the Gators need to right the ship... This year's Gators are a shell of their former self, even though they continued to humiliate the Cats, but how much longer can the losing last in Gainesville? No Tebow(who scored his first NFL Touchdown on Sunday) and a criminal rap sheet that reads like a Florida State and a Volunteer Drive By press release, has spelled the decline of Gator football for the time being. On a brighter note, Florida's Basketball Gators have been pegged to win the SEC this year...Yeah, I don't see that...
The Arkansas Democrat Gazette's website is running a particularly interesting article which is stated to be due to the injustice of the Auburn game, as the 'Backs see it and a public outcry of e-mails sent by Arkansas fans about how the Hogs do not get a fair shake in the big-games. And by e-mail I totaly meant letters hand-written in crayon and sent in a shoe box to the paper, and not Crayola, those crappy Rose Art crayons...I did catch bits and peices of the game and seen some highlights on ESPN after the fact, so like the author of the articel, I decided to re-watch the game...and I got hungry so i didn't complete this task, but from what I seen in that game, the Hogs may have a reasonable gripe. And a local Fayetteville eye doctor has offered free laser corrective surgery to any offficial who participated in the 65-43 loss.
John Chavis e Chavis(minus the e and one of the Chavis') is the D-cordinator at LSU, one of the 2 remaining unbeatens in God's Conference, apparently has a blueprint on how to slow down and stop Auburn and Cam Newton...In case you missed in Chav(not to be confused with our own beloved Gary James), Kentucky has already done that. A poor use of time management, or time management prevention more the case, cost Kentucky the game. Cam Newton is this season's Tebow, only less Christ-like. Now, I think this is actually Auburn's year. I think the Iron Bowl is going to be one of the top 5 games we have seen this season, and Alabama is a very good team, it is obvious that they are not the same Tide that Rolled everyone in 2009. But how can you not like a team that has a guy named Julio Jones??? So, John, Alabama will not be watching your game against Auburn with eyes wide opened and taking notes, well not too many anyways... They have already commited what Kentucky did to memory. Well, in the later half of the game anyways, we did have quite an astounding comeback...ok ok... Only thing we showed is how to comeback against Auburn...which may end up being more important for the Tide to have pais attention too.
The ol' Ball Coach suffered his first defeat to Kentucky last Saturday in a big win for the Cats. Not only did he suffer his first loss to the Blue, but he also lost his meal-ticket. Two years in a row Kentucky has contributed to side-lining a premier SEC player. While not on the level of what The Widowmaker Taylor Wyndham did to Timmy Of Nazereth last season(I was there), but the Cats did manage to bang up, albeit maybe more by happenstance, Marcu Lattimore, who Spurrier has serious doubts will see any time against the Commodores from the Ivy League team south of the Ohio. The downward spiral that is like clockwork is already in full gear, South Carolina,as crazy as this is, will Never win the SEC east with Spurrier...
In a basketball related note... Louisville, Kentucky is now the proud new owners of a Multi-Million Arena in downtown Louisville, which is they would have had that earlier, the Hornets could have been located there. The new areana, called Louisville Arena as a complex with the main arena portion being named The KFC YUM Center, is going to be the new home to Uof L basketball, so what will become of Freedom Hall? did they demolish it? No. It is part of the Kentucky State Fair Expo and will more than likely be here for years to come. Coach Cal wanted the Big Blue to hae more of a pressence for his fans based in the city, so he wanted to schedule more games in Louisville...Well, on the occasion those games do occur, the floor of freedom Hall is going to look familiar. The State Fair Expo has shown off pictures of the new floor to be used during UK games in Freedom Hall, an exact replica of the floor at Rupp...Just seeing the UK logo all over the floor of thier former home has to be a huge slap in the face to the Birds, and a big black eye on the level of Karen Sypher(sic). I don't know if that is going to be the permanent floor at Freedom Hall or not, but just using it once a year and being seen on TV is going to be enough to throw the Louisville fans into a fit, like a fit you would throw if you found out your spouse had 15 second sex in a restaraunt in downtown Louisville...But surely that doesn't really happen...
