In-N-Out The 64/60 Playoffs

Finally all the hard work and dedication has rewarded me with a Championship. Those 40+ hours a week spent in the offseason now seem like such a little price to pay in comparison to the glory that comes with the title. For those of you who haven't paid attention to the 64/60 playoffs the Bear Creek FP Factory laid a beatdown on GRC3 and the Argumentative 9irons, 10-1 in a Civil War for the title. During Week 1 of the matchup it was a heavyweight battle with punch followed by counter punch in the pitching department. It seemed like every starter we threw out there went 6 solid innings and notched a QS. The offensive matchup wasn't as close as the Factory had a very solid week while the 9irons simply didn't get the job done at the dish. After the first week the Factory had very comfortable leads in Runs, HR, AVG., OPS., and Saves. In comparison only K's seemed to heavily favor the 9irons. With 6 stats seemingly locked up the contest was still up in the air. And all things pointed to RBI and the Pitching stats being the deciding factor.

Week two began just like Week 1 ended excellent pitching after excellent pitching for both teams with the Factory having the edge on the offensive side. This pace continued throughout action on Tuesday and at one point the 9irons were a mere 3 RBI away from obtaining a 6-6 split. That would be as close as it would come. The Factory edged the 9irons in every offensive stat on a daily basis from Wednesday until Sunday. And on the mound the Factory pitching only got better down the stretch while the 9irons just didn't get the job done. The 9irons ERA actually blew up a full run over the final four day's while the WHIP increased around .10 points which is a accomplishment in itself given the number of innings under their belt and the quality of the arms that were pitching. The 7-5 contest from Week 1 ballooned into a 10-1 win by the Factory.

The end of the baseball season is typically a sad time for us here at the Factory. No more daily launching of StatTracker. No more surfing of the web to find the most up to date information on players. No more 4AM Probable Pitching filtration on the player search tab. Instead our time is now fully devoted on the Football season. And although the action on TV is a better product then baseball their is no comparison when it comes to Fantasy. Baseball wins hands down. We will celebrate the title for a moment and reflect on our incredible midseason run. We will celebrate a victory over Christopher Lee in the second Rd and we will celebrate a victory over GRC3 in the Championship. We however will not be content with our title. We will soon begin the process of building for the 2011 campaign. We here at the Factory never rest and that is how Championship's are won.
