The controversies never end, and the hatred will never cease... The Bleacher Report has put up an interesting lil' ditty about the 10 Dirtiest Coaches in College Basketball...And of course UK gets PLENTY of love... 3 of the top 10 are associated with the Big Blue Empire, and yes our current ceasar, and Jesse Stuart-esque Beatinest Boy, Coach Cal, is touted as being one of the 10 Dirtiest...No Infractions on his record mind you....But of all people to include and to exclude others for christ sakes Joe B. Hall??? WTF??? I'm not saying that any of our past coaches, or any school for that matter, has been ran by choir boys... They are all dirty, every last program is...But the bias towards the evilness that is Kentucky is getting rediculous. It is reaching a fever-pitch...which can only mean one thing...the rest of the college basketball world is scared shitless...Order has been restored...

Pete Thamel is at it again. After the Alabama Board of Education foiled his last attempt to bring the Empire to it's knees, he decides to go after everybody's new favorite target and example of corruption in Lexington, none other than , sweet, innocent, and down right Wholesome, Enes Kanter. Thamel spews some venom and quotes the Turkish GM who is at the root of all this, basically calls Enes a tard, and calls Mr. Kanter a liar...Oh, well, everybody needs a hobby, and apparently Pete's is make shit up, try to ruin lives of teenage boys and publicly humiliate them and their families... Pete Thamel you sir are a douche, and this all seems to be a very loud cry for help...Happy Hunting...

Now, on to the bread and butter of 64/60...Local Middle School, not Junior High, Sports....

The NEKC. Years ago, it was the LEAGUE in area high school competition. Yes, it really existed and it is not just something that me and Ev made up in a drunken session of lies to say that Dave Lemaster was All-NEKC...Fast forward to 2010, long since consolodation, re-districting and Gay-Strait Alliances have taken grips on the area. The NEKC, in it's modern, most powerful form, exist on the middle school level. This year, and it still seems odd to type this, Boyd County was primed and ready for a championship in the 7th grade division. Tuesday night in Louisa, it was a Doc Brown FLux Copacitor flashback to 1985 as Ashland.George M. Verity took on the BCMS don't flatter us by calling them the Wildcats in the championship. Ashland meeting The County for conference supremecy. THat's what Bolts Fork has been dreaming about for years, since the 1980's came to an end, BC has had a well documented and painfull fall to be the bottome feeder football program it now is. All the years of pain, anguish, and humiliation could all be erased in the land of 41102...but it would be all for not as Quinton Baker, remember that name, this kid is legit. Just SICK on the gridiron, led the Pat-Cats to the crown. I seen it coming, My Borthers are on the Verity Staff, I myself moonlight as their media co-ordinator. But, Boyd County has reason to be excited about a football future...Hats off to Boyd County Middle. Just might be the class that finally restores the roar out in Cannonsburg, just in time to open the new school doors. If they can keep everybody there. Quinton Baker was a BC enrolled student until this year. He is the son of former UK and NFL'er Coach Baker, also a former BC Staffer...and, Quinton is from the BURG. I remember seeing his braided head powering down Oakland Avenue on a tri-cycle...

Could it be more excitement from Louisa??? Oh Hell Yes. 8th Grade title time. Now, keep in mind they are in Louisa, which I have made no bones about the insanity and rabidness of the locals as well as the shady doings of spectators, deputies, and refs. It is a terrible place to have to play, let along have to play for a championship there, against the LC. However, justice prevailed, if by justice you accept it as an Ashland sweep of the NEKC. Now, My network of affiliates who covered the game sent in some very detailed, and disturbing sideline reports during the course of the evening....The cliff Notes version; The Refs attempted to shennanigans to give LC a lil' help. Some faulty personal fouls were called on Ashland Coaches and some other shady line calls were made. Ashland pulled through with a goal line stance to secure the crown. Would have loved to been there to witness the Ashland fan chants of 'Barney Fife' directed at the refs...but I would have not been apart of such chants, I hae a family to consider and I don't want to die in the Lawrence County Detention Center... Scott Powell, Iron Worker, Volunteer Fireman and Middle School Referee as well as LC Alum was one of the crew, you can direct all ill-will towards him and he can be found on facebook...flood his inbox now...
