* The first set of BCS projections comes out this evening. The initial unveiling has no real value other than promoting College Football by providing "water cooler" conversation. Boise State was the projected #1 team going into the weekend and nothing happened to change that projection.

* My breakdown of the BCS title hunt goes like this: Boise runs the table and goes undefeated, Oklahoma manages to do the same, the SEC will have a one loss conference winner but thanks to a SEC Championship game that includes a 3 to 4 loss East Winner they won't have enough push to leap over the undefeated, the eventual Big Ten Winner may only have one loss but void of a title game it will be hard to leap a Major Conference undefeated, Oregon will fall somewhere along the way in the Pac 10 as 9 of the Conference teams have the talent/coaching level of a Top 30-40 program, TCU will likely run the table however hell will freeze over before a Mountain West and WAC school face off in the National Title Game. Should Oklahoma fall I still won't concede a one loss SEC team in the title game. I still could see a scenario where a one loss Big Ten or Pac 10 team may have a better resume.

* Cam Newton has pushed himself onto the Heisman Watch list. Last week was his 4th game this season with Rushing and Passing yardage totals over 100. Given the recent struggles of Denard Robinson, the losses of Alabama, Ohio State, and Nebraska and the late game heroics have put Newton into the pole position. The Heisman Watch is about as pointless at this point as the BCS polls but like the BCS it keeps College Football at the water cooler.

* Face it folks Florida just isn't a good football team. They are 91st in Total Offense and 65th in scoring. Brantley is young and in time Meyer will adjust the offense to fit his strengths but at the moment he just looks out of place. No player stretches the field in the passing game. And outside of Demps the roster is void of HR threats. This could be a 5 loss season in Gainesville.
