Ashland gets scalped by the stripes, Dickie blows gasket...

Cannonsburg had some false hope this evening, as the much maligned Scarlet and White managed to score early in the contest with Green UP... But, the G-unit was having none of the upset bid on Homecoming Night below the hill... The Musketeers put their offensive wares on display and EDGED the Lions 55 to 15...on HOMECOMING...And, once more, I have to mention how absolutely horrible Dicky Tiller is as the Radio Braodcaster for BC...It's a simple formula Dicky, less about what you are going to be getting into and JFL football games, and try to actually give the score to the game you are calling ...Although, I know it must not be fun to announce on air the ass kicking you are calling, but still, I heard the PA announcer inthe background announce the Ironton score and heard you and your partner, Bill Boblit, repeat the score 3 times and talk about that win before you EVER announced your own game's score...
Ashland, who is not the team that Mark Maynard and the ADI think tank led us to believe, was beaten tonight, not by Montgomery County, but by the refs. Pure and simple this was the very essence of home-cookin'... 19 penalties against Ashland....It's kind of hard to refute the claims of bad officiating when you leave a paper(or yellow flag) trail behind like that. And, the time-keeper got invilved and got his shots in when he could as well...It was a diplorable display of absolute despicable officiating... I'm sure Dickie Martin will file a formal complaint with the KHSAA...and for once, it will be very warranted...Montgomery won on a field goal with 33 seconds left...24-22 Injuns...
Fairview, who was not actually dissed at all last week, continues to roll through this season as they edged Nicholas County 26-18...While the culprit in last weeks Tupac/Biggie rap battle, Raceland, dropped one to Class A thorn in their side Lexington Christian. The Ramblin' Rams are turning into a wreck as they saw the score board light up 38-26 in favor of the visiting LCA...
Russell looked more like the Devils of old by putting up 62 for the win against Lewis County and their 22...
High-Octane Rowan County welcomed the Bulldogs out of the holler' and into Morehead to hand the Dawgs a 34-13 loss. Lawrence County is still one of the better teams in teh area, and this just shows what a testament it is to the skill of the Vikes.
Johnson Central took a visit to Woodford County, and didn't accept any home-town hospitality, they TOOK it...The Eagles DRUMMED the opposition 68-35...JC gets Montgomery next week, and Dickie Martin made the comment over the air that since the Natives will have to go to Paintsville, that Johnson Central will absolutely slaughter them...Which they more than likely will do...they have already beaten the Tomcats this season...
And since Tiller and Boblit were so enamored by this game, Ironton Beat Columbus Hartley at Tanks Memorial 37-16...And rest easy Tiger-Town, Dicky Tiller thinks it was a great win for Ironton to beat Columbus...not Columbus Hartley, just Columbus...
Just to throw West by God a bone or two, Those Pioneers from the O Dub, Out Wayne(Lavalette where you at?) beat Tolisa 20-12 in non-conference play, and in conference play, The Timberwolves looked more like whipped pups as Capitol handed them their collective backside 40-14. Spring Valley had to make the bus trip home riding on their hands from Charleston after that one...And Woodrow Wilson beat the Highlanders of Huntington in another Mountain State Athletic Conference game 24-20... However according to some(Ashland and BC fans, Raceland too) A win for Fairview is a win for Huntington...
