In-N-Out The 64/60 Week 18

Just when I thought my playoff push had come full circle the damn ORC has become world beaters and knocked me out of the coveted 6th spot after holding it for only one week. The Carp has been red hot winning 6 straight with good offense and great pitching. Not only do I lose the 6th spot but it was by the hands of the hated Smackers. The Smackers are anti-Factory. The Factory preaches the integrity and the "good of the league", the Smackers spit in the face of the Factory on a seemingly weekly basis. The Smackers spend five minutes per day the Factory five hours. The Factory attempts to police the policies the Commissioner has handed down. The Smackers spend countless hours finding every little loophole to exploit. Even if the Factory manages to capture a playoff spot the stain from a loss to the Smackers at the hands of the lone douchebag Alvaraz on the planet, Pedro, will forever remain. My sights are now set on overtaking the weakest Top 6 squad at the moment in the Hendo Colonels. The Colonels are really struggling losers of 5 of 6. As luck would have it the Factory gets it shot at the Colonels this week in a match that could very well determine a playoff spot.

In a battle of league leaders the BC Dingers edged the 9irons 7-5 and moved into a tie for first place. The 9irons due deserve some credit however as they once again due just enough to keep a hold on first place. For the record more offensive help was called up last week in the form of JP Arencibia and once again the 9irons zipped up the purse swings and decided to roll the dice with Taylor Teagarden. I would like to send out my best regards to the Lee family. Big Lair is having some health issues and I sincerely hope everything turns out for the best. Get well big guy the WWE needs you on Monday Nights. In other news Hell and Damnation is once again the most dominate team this week. Though they didn't have a double digit win they posted a .350AVG with a 998OPS and excellent pitching to top PW 9-3. For PW this is just another tough luck loss to add to the collection this season. Prestige still looks to have a very solid hold on a playoff spot of some kind. As for H&D she was looking ahead to next season just a month ago but after a month of awesome play she is really right in the hunt for a playoff spot. She certainly isn't considered the front runner but if she can match the production of the last month during August I could see her leapfrogging the BCFP or the Carp. In what was essentially an elimination match for a playoff spot the 41129ers edged the Vondies 7-5. Both were going to need two double digit wins over the final month to have any hope of a playoff spot. With the win the 41129ers can still dream a little dream and perhaps the stars will all align and the magical will happen. All I can say is that no other owner would deserve the spot more than Butch. You may not agree with the madness at times but by god that man tries and one should never hang their head if they give a full effort. Butch Lemaster-OWNER OF THE YEAR, he's got my vote. In the matchup of water creatures the Carp of the Ohio made dinner of those Rubber Duckies. I have a very sneaky suscpicion that these Duckies will have one excellent week down the stretch run and knock a playoff contender out of it. Finally in the other No-Contest of the week the Stars added to the recent misery of the Colonels with a 11-1 trashing that would make Culley Jones look like a Saint at a Girl Scout Convention. The Stars likely clinched a playoff spot with the win. As for the Colonels the number one spot in the Power Rankings seems like a decade ago. One should fear for their playoff lives at this point. Big game in Week 19. Big Game.

Pickup of the Week

JP Arencibia-Ohio RIver Carp. Arencibia isn't the 4-5 2HR player from game one but he is a C with plus power who even with Buck coming back should see plenty of action. Anytime you can get a C with any type of offensive spark at this point in the season it is a huge gain.

Head Scratcher of the Week

Andrew Bailey for $16 FAAB Budget by BCFP. Originally was slated to return that weekend but no his return this season is in doubt. Not only did I spend my final 16 dollars on Bailey but I also dropped the actual A's closer Wuertz to land Bailey. This was more of a trade made on emotion as I was still moarning the loss of Chris Perez whom I forgot to bid on. I had full intent of picking him up with my reamining 16 last week but got side tracked and the rest they say is history. Besides it's time I give the rest of the league a break.

Rich,

You seem to get him every year.

Coleman,

Nice to see you took it like a man from Lindsay Ln.; bitching and complaining the whole time. After I horse whip Butch this week, I may make the playoffs, where I have some extra stunts up my sleeve to assure success in the playoffs. You should hire a lawyer for the offenses I'm getting ready to unfold.

Keep it real homie.
