In-N-Out The 64/60 Season Preview
The season is finally upon us. All the long nights off studying the numbers and percentages are over. Now it's time for you to reap the benefits. Or you could be the dude who picks up a Fantasy Guides and are blessed with good health and three breakout players drafted after the first 15 Rounds. I have given you my thoughts on each teams Positions. Many of you have laughed it off and marked it as ridiculous but hopefully all enjoyed the post. I would like to extend apologies for the Heyward incident to Bill Fenney and the Ohio River Carp. Hopefully everything can get straightened out combine that with the Head to Head scoring issues and failures to respond to a roster issue it has been a tough week for the Commish. I would like to assure everyone that I am still the man for the job and that the rest of the season will be error free on my part.
As for the events in the front office many teams have been rather busy since the draft. The 41129ers have already spent over half of their FAAB budget. The 41129ers are also the leaders out of the gate with 20 transactions. The BC Dingers have been working the Trade Talks with various owners so I have been told and we have already had are first trade of the season between the 41129ers and Mr. Ward. Unlike last year Mr. Ward isn't in the bag over the head kick in the ass trade. This move actually left Mr. Ward applying the bag over his head as the 41129ers got the better part of the deal in my opinion. I can't be to hard on the Tude Smackers I loved the Sean Marcum addition post draft. Marcum could be the next Carpenter as he to has had his promising career derailed by injuries.
For the Season Preview I will take a look at each team and give the strengths and weaknesses.
BC Dingers - Every year I come out of the draft wondering what the hell Christopher Lee was thinking. Every year the man formerly known as Lazer is in the playoffs so the days of doubting are over. Strength- Ownership is very involved and in tune with the daily transactions around the game. Nice mix of Speed and Power on the offense. Weakness- AVG risk with the hitters. Rotation has plenty of questions and no sure things.
Ohio River Carp- The man who has been wronged by the Commissioner. The Carp is another team with strong ownership who will make the correct move more often than not. Strengths- Big Star Power with the Bats and the top of the Rotation. Solid overall batting numbers expected. Weakness- 6-8 roster spots are big question marks. Overall team speed could be a concern.
Maccabi Hebrewers- First time owner long time blogger Josh Gilbert throws his hat smack dab in the middle of the 64/60 this season. Strengths- The top of the rotation could be really special with Kershaw, Johnson, Shields and Cueto among others. Cruz and McCuthen could be big time players this season. Weakness- The overall lineup lacks punch and could negate the good pitching.
Tude Smackers- The Bernie Madoff of the 64/60 is back to defend his tainted crown of 09. Strengths- Mr. Ward may not do it honorably but he gets it done. Nice stable of closers and Verlander/Marcum/Vazquez/Danks a solid top part of the Pitching Unit. Weakness- The Offense will struggle this season and the back part of the pitching could be bad and negate the strength.
Bear Creek FP Factory - I have the utmost respect for this owner. Strengths- Ownership is second to none. Ownership is in tune with league events and those around baseball. Ownership is really strong. Ownership leaves little doubt. Weakness-7 players could make or break this team.
LeMeastro's 41129ers- The man who knows how to shake it up which will normally include a spank in the ass trade at the hands of Jesse. Strengths- Star power at both the top of the lineup and pitching. A owner who is willing to try different things. Weakness- A owner who to quickly tries different things. No real strength to the team.
Rubber Duckies- Another first time owner to 64/60 baseball. The Father and Son duo who simply didn't agree on draft day. Strengths- The best pitcher in baseball makes for a good start to pitching. Overall decent production on offense. Weakness- Owner activity could be a concern as currently only 6 pitchers are active for the Duckies. SB is a dead stat with the Duckies.
Argumentative 9irons - The man who had the best draft according to several draft ranking methods. Strengths- Active owner who follows the game. Very solid lineup and a good array of pitching options. Weakness- Back end of the rotation has questions.
Prestige Worldwide- Todd returns to the 64/60 after a year banishment for improper conduct by an owner. Strengths- Albert Pujols for starters. Solid offense with no stat looking to be a major struggle. Weakness- The pitching has it's good points but lack of bullpen depth could be a concern.
B'Ville Stars- Mr. McClung loves Fantasy Baseball and that itself can make a difference in a team. Strengths- The rotation could be really strong as K's and QS should more often than not go to the Stars. Run Stats and HR could be solid all year. Weakness- SB will be a real struggle as will SV's with the current roster.
Hell and Damnation- Mrs. Commish and her hanger on is back at it to hopefully bring some honor to the title of 64/60 first lady. Strengths- The top 2/3rd of both the lineup and pitching staff is very solid. Weakness- No SB production to be had. The final third of the lineup and pitching has more questions than answers.
Hendo Colonels- The man who changed the setup of the league must use a new approach this season. Strengths- Pitching should be the strength of this unit. Solid offensive production should be expected. Weakness- Nothing elite about this squad. Pitching needs more SV opps and offense will be middle of the road more often than not.

I love it that you don't answer my phone calls.
Real nice.
Fantasy Baseball = mental war.
No retreat, No surrender.
Take no prisoners.
Past the point of no return.
Butch? Any additions?
There is no honor in war. Thus, the application of the term "honorably" is irrelevant.
Winning is all that matters.
Jesse
Also, I will defend my trades indefinitely. Your arguments and those arguments of anyone else pertaining to those events being unfair are ludicrious. I am still accepting any and all challenges.
Bottom line.... Yahoo! Makes the rules. None of these rules were violated in these trades. Therefore, my victory was complete fair. Everyone else had the same opportunities as I did. I just did it better.
Thanks for playing Brian McCann.
Jesse
No takers?
Then let it go......
