And all God's people say..SEC.

Live! via satelite from Flo's Living Room-The SEC...Looking pretty, oh I don't know...SUPERIOR, eh Burt? Alabama took some time to wake up , but once The Steers and Queers manged to yank Bama's pillow out from under their head, The TIDE awoke from their slumber..and they were an ANGRY TIDE. A 24 point onslaught in the 2nd quarter was enough for the BIG RED ELEPHANTS to Roll on to a victory. Colt McCoy might as well have been Brett McCoy, as after his throwing arm went numb, was a non factor. That was early in the game. Texas was clinging to a 6-0 lead. Apparently they were clinging to that lead with Colt McCoy's dead arm. In comes true freshman, albeit National High School Player of The Year and all time Texico leading in passing yards Garrett Gilbert(No Relation). There would be no true-Freshman heroics. No Gilbert Grapes of Wrath...The Tide almost let this one slip away. Bama found themselves only with a cushion of 3 pts, and those cushions are kind of like those found on the Wal-Mart Futons, not very padded... The True freshman showed great poise and only shows that their is gonna be plenty of ammo left in Texas' gun cabinent even without their Colt..However, a very opportune blindside sack by Anders caused a fumble from the kid...Bama Recovers...Alabama, you sunk our battleship. And, in the aftermath of this game, played for the Mythical National Title of Lore and Legend, Colt McCoy has a dead arm, Nick Saban had number two, and...Alabama's Crimson Tide is back. After being left for dead in the land of NCAA Sanctions, one of the nation's most storied programs has been brought back from the depths of that abyss, and is rolling once more. Not only did that tide role, but that tide has come in...
The perfect end to a perfect season. The number one team in the Land takes home the chrystal bowl. The Mythical Championship has a REAL winner.
And once more, it is prooven our(SEC) supperiority to the rest of college football. Bigger, Stronger, Faster, ...Better...
Quid pro quo Burt, since the BCS was instituted, mythical or not, the National Title has been won by the SEC 6 times, by 4 different SEC programs. This should be enough for you to finally just let any arguement go that you have about the SEC not being the BEST. There is no Playoff, which you do not like the idea of, so you are the poster boy for support of the BCS system. In a system which you whole heartedly support, the SEC has dominated. I think your stock that you had put into the belief that maybe the PAC 10 was on par with the SEC was wishful thinking, due to the fact that conference has owned Notre Dame's ass. Notre Dame is not SEC caliber. The Pac 10 is not SEC caliber...The Big 12 is good, but they are not the SEC. God rested on the 7th day so he could watch the SEC. So in the name of Bear Bryant, Beautiful Bobby Eaton, Randy Owen and Forrest Gump...ROLL TIDE...
Sweet Potato Pie...and shut my mouth...
I think it is time for some SEC Chest pounding....

At Least Colt didn't cry like somebody else we know....

Gilbert,

I would like to address the SEC Pac 10 issue that we have. I never stated that the Pac 10 was a better conference than the SEC. All I stated is that this year the SEC was down from top to bottom and that the Pac 10 had just as much if not more DEPTH than the SEC and that the seperation from the SEC to the Pac 10 wasn't as great as it has been in the past. The SEC as being the numero uno has never been in doubt here on Lindzey Rd. I do however believe that the Pac 10 is the second best conference in the country regardless of the terrible Bowl season.
