Bus is leaving Knoxville, hope some of you aren't under it. And Sean Woods was right.

If you caught any of the post-Tennessee presser, you know full well that Coach Cal has reached his breaking point with this team. No more cuddling these guys, he's gonna' start holding people accountable. He's gonna' put em' on  blast. He is going to start heaving people under the bus.

And rightfully so.

Uncle Julius is pissed, too.

Cal said that "If they weren't embarrassed  by this to come to me and say 'tell us whatever you want, we're gonna' listen to ya'', then they shouldn't be at Kentucky."

Cal also said that he's had teams (presumably Memphis) come up to Knoxville and get smoked by Tennessee in the past, but he highlighted the fact that this team won't do it, they aren't tough enough to do it, and what  that is to take what happened and learn from it and become better. "They deserved to be us by 50 today."

He said that it's back to the 'drawing board' and that he is going to have to figure out a way for this Kentucky team to play. I'd be willing to bet that they won't get it.

In any event, Coach Cal said that he will 'burn the tape', and that he is 'not going to watch this one.'

I know they lost Nerlens, and that was a HUGE blow, but c'mon. Nut up a little guys. Calipar said coming into today's game, that his team was awful in practice, even remarking that it was the worst practice he has had at Kentucky for the 4 years he has been the king of the Commonwealth.

Plain and simple, Cal believes his team is scared to death of playing without Noel, and he feels as if they think they can't do it. They don't think they can make big plays and get w's.

"We (coaching staff) can't want it more than they do." And right now, it's painfully obvious that they do. Cal even says that he thinks that they can step up and do those things, but that they (players) themselves don't believe that one bit.

However, like Cal noted, Tennessee and Florida and everybody else for that matter, haven't beaten Kentucky in a while. Kentucky resembles a deer bleeding out on the trail more than they do a fighting wildcat.  , and teams are taking every opportunity to hit a 'wounded animal'.

We all knew that this season, even with Noel, was going to be rough. We were going to take some lumps and knew everybody was going to get their kicks in while they could. We just didn't know the extent of how bad those kicks were going to hurt and that seemingly everyone would be wearing steel-toe boots.

However today, he said that even if they had not lost their high-topped Noel, they would have still got beaten 'big'.

Cal has lost all faith in Harrow, and judging by his performance today as well as spot ones since his seemingly 'buying in' moment against Louisville all those games ago, it is well deserved. Harrow was even benched today, in the hopes that the fire would be lit once more, when Jarrod Polson got the starting nod.

You got what you expect from Polson, if not more with his career high 11 points, but Harrow once more did not show up.

And folks, Archie and Alex are going to be better suited to look into other basketball options. Alex has no heart, he has no desire, and he doesn't even try. Archie won't listen to anybody. He won't play for his team. He has shown he plays for nobody but Archie. It is said that Cal could be plainly heard over the radio broadcast of the game screaming at Archie and telling him that he 'can't coach him'.

It is looking more and more like if these two don't enter the draft after this season, then they still won't be in Kentucky blue in the future. That's the vibe you get from Coach Cal, he's done with them.

Julius Mays remarked about a few things and Uncle Julius let his teammates know that this stuff wasn't going to fly. He said that, more or less, there are some in that locker room who are going to use Nerlen's being gone as an excuse. Uncle Julius ain't got time for that. He said he is going to start being vocal about it to, and he's calling fools out from here on out if they continue to play this way.

They've still got time to turn it around and right the ship in Lexington on this season . However, one has to wonder if the crew on this vessel are able to do such.

Knew it was going to be rough, but never imagined that this season could have ever hinged on winning out in the SEC and a good showing in the conference tournament just to get in the dance.

Somewhere between Shoney's and B-Dubs in Rowan County, Sean Woods is just shaking his head and saying 'I told you so".

i believe there is time for cal to come up with an offensive scheme to put up some points. the defense didnt look terrible against tenn., the offense just never got going and they were out of the game before halftime. he put together the pick and roll looks with knight and harrilson on short notice and rode that to the final four. like you stated in the above article, there is no elite teams in the ncaa. i wouldnt bet against cal in the tourny, but i like your final four picks. solid teams. look out for michigan state as well.
