The University of Kentucky Cheerleaders have reportedly just won their astounding 20th UCA National Championship... I mean seriously, it's cheerleading, but damn...20 ?!?!
Here is their National Championship Routine:
Not to be outdone, Morehead State also has quite the number of banners hanging for National Titles, and they added numbers 33 and 34 respectively this year. It was their 33rd co-ed Division 1(think FCS) and their 34th All-Girls National Championships.
The Eagles also at one point won 8 All-Girls championship in a row, and had last won in 2011,which I only bring up because my niece was on that squad. Makes Thanksgiving kinda' hard when you got a National Champ sitting across from you and all you got is a Little League State Runner-up trophy. sigh.
And... it's not even the only National Champion Cheerleader in my family!

Not to mention all the titles Greenup County has won, and you begin to see a very vivid picture.
So, welcome to Kentucky... and more specifically Eastern Kentucky... Cheer capital of the world.
It's our gift.... It's or burden.
We drink heavily.
