In a bit of a plot twist, the 12th rated recruit in the nation will announce his NBA-Development skills during his (Montverde Academy) game today, which will air on ESPN2 @ 6. It had previously been believed, and Dakari even said, that he was going to wait until after his season/school year was over to announce his plans. Instead, tonight at 8 on ESPNU, during the half of the game airing on that network.
Johnson,( 6-10'', 250 lbs. New York, City) currently is said to be down to three suitors: Georgetown, Syracuse and, yup, Kentucky. Johnson is said to be strongly favoring Coach Cal and the Cats, and has even stated that regardless if this crop of Kentucky freshman don't all leave for the Draft, that he has no problem with still going to Kentucky.
From what we gathered, Johnson is going to be in one shade of blue of another based on his pick, as it is said that Syracuse is out of the running, and it's a two horse race with most believing that Kentucky is going to the winner's circle.
Johnson attended middle school in Lexington, KY.
