A Preamble to Hate: Cats and Cards in 3 days

Red State or Blue State? Louisville...Kentucky... Kings of the Commonwealth...
In a commonwealth that is uncommonly wealthy when it comes to great basketball, Kentuckians will see the nation's best, and most unsung rivalry rear it's head again December 29th in Louisville. Nothing more needs to be said, or more appropriately, hasn't been said.

It means everything. It was threatened with state legislation to make sure it never went away. It divides families. You're literally born into the thing, here. At it's roots it is the very essence of inherited hate.  It is like it dredges up century old feelings of Union or Confederate, and I am here to tell you, the cause is every bit as worthy in our hearts as to those men who felt either way at Gettysburg.

It's fanaticism at it's very apex. It's outrageous and  laments a certain degree of lunacy. It's out of control and something that no sane person would ever give much thought to. Yet, we can't fill our cups with enough of it to indulge it's sweet venom.

And... it's all worth it.

I am on the BLUE side of this war. It's no skirmish.

Christmas has come and gone. The armistice and ceasefire is over. It's time to hate.
