In-N-Out The 64/60

From day to day it's hard for me to gauge what the 64/60 means to some. For many Monday bleeds into Sunday so seamless it's hard to differentiate between. For many the 64/60 is a box score. A two minute glimpse that gives you the end result void of the dramatic element. For some it's a book mark on the week. A place to define a mark on the timeline of our lives. A place one must be to achieve personel gratification and enjoyment. A destination if you will. It is these moments which make the early morning typing sessions, the countless hours spent planning each function, and the monetary responsibility all worth it. Spreading joy to the masses is what I am about regardless of the mud some will attempt to cast upon me. Therefore the 64/60 is pleased to announce the 2012 SWING AND SWIM will be moved to July the 28th. The move allows the elder McClung the opportunity to leave his house a 3rd time during the year. It is very humbling to know that each day away is dedicated to the 64/60. Though I have yet to hear back from everyone it's looking like the 2012 Swing and Swim will be able to meet the lofty standards and expectations set forth by previous installments.

* The 64/60 is now taking donations for Youth Baseball Sponsorships. The 64/60 is firmly behind the soon to be Bear Creek Bandits Baseball Club who will begin play in fall of 2012. To show there support the 64/60 would like to place a large sponsorship add in the OF complete with a 64/60 logo along with the classic Hit the Logo when a prize theme. It's an exciting time at Fannin Park and the 64/60 will be happy to become a part of it. For more information please contact Josh Coleman at 606.585.5746.

Game Recap

BCFP 7 vs. Cutters 4. A late inning single by Marco Scutaro turned a 6-5 defecit into a 7-4 win for the good guys. Watching this matchup pitch by pitch on a computer screen would have been a nerve racking way to spend a Sunday Evening. Ev I must ask do you enjoy the agony?

MVP- Justin Upton .391/2/7/11/0/1.119

Stars 7 vs. Haters 5. I don't get the issue with my trade offers. What's wrong with 3 Waiver Wire pickups packaged in a deal for a top 5 draft pick? Open up your mind and embrace it Mr. Ward you would be greatly rewarded. McClung for the love of god please drop Vernon Wells or find a way to get him out of your lineup. Here's a newsflash IF he does earn playing time upon his return he will be readily available on the Waiver Wire. Nobody and I mean nobody will be rushing out to pick him up. Quit robbing yourself of 20 PA's per week.

MVP- Hamels 2/14/1.20/1.00/8.40

TBA 7 vs. MROTA 5. Chris Lee flew solo over the weekend in the Queen City. Eric Hutchison concert Saturday followed by a Redleg game Sunday. Still no word out of Lee camp but speculation within the 64/60 suggest Mr. Lee was full of shit and that in deed a blast from the past was by his side. Anyone recall the Chinese chick at the Notre Dame Student Center?

MVP- McCutchen .500/2/4/8/1/1.515

Colonels 7 vs. Maniacs 5. We were warned of a sleeping giant several months ago. All the giant has done since that time is fallen deeper into hybernation. It's time to start looking forward to the S&S and the 64/60 Football draft. Another month before life has any meaning Junior.

MVP- Verlander 2/10/1.69/.94/5.63

Emanski 8 vs. teamname 4. Upon his return to the 64/60 I was given Todd's word that the inactivity that lead to his departure would never return. It would appear oversized Burgers, late nights at the local hangout, and the best damn cheese fries in the Tri-State have painted Whitley a liar.

MVP- Middlebrooks .625/3/6/10/0/2.007

9irons 6 vs. Walls 5. Another dillusional owner who labels my trade offers as insults. I offer Richard the world, I offer him extended roster depth, and in return my actions are deemed to be a insult. I'll keep my Waiver Wire additions and ride them into the playoffs. Don't come crying to me when Cabrera, Blanco, Aoki, Saunders and the like keep your from the postseason.

MVP- Miley 2/15/1.20/.87/9.00

Pickup Of The Week

Bobby Parnell- Bear Creek FP Factory. Not a big week for landing game changers. Parnell joined Glen Perkins as newly annoited closers late in the week and I prefer the Mets to the Twins in terms of what is around the player. Parnell likely won't be lights out but he should posses some K value and the skill set suggest he can handle the gig for as long as Francisco is out.

Head Scrathcer Of The Week

Walls Of Jericho drop Will Venable for Travis D'Arnaud. I understand the move. D'Arnaud is a top prospect at a very futile position and Venable is nothing more than a bottom of the roster type player. All of this makes perfect sense but my question would be when is D'Arnaud's callup? Arencebia won't set the world on fire but he does feature elite power from the C's position, a position in which one plus skill can make you a permanent lineup fixture. The roster is loaded with DH types so that likely isn't a option and it doesn't seem that a position change is in order for either D'Arnaud or Arencebia at this point in the season. While Venable won't win you a fantasy league he does offer you the coveted power/speed skill set that could give you some lineup flexibility late in the week if you are in need of that HR or SB to put you over the top.
