The man who has been blamed for more deaths than Jason Voorhees it would seem, Vince Russo has been fired from TNA, or decided to split amicably.
Oddly enough, Brother Love has a big part in this. Bruce Pritchard, who starred as the red-faced Reverend back in the day, was brought in as the main creative source for TNA some point back. He, like most wrestling purists, hated Russo. After passing on bringing in Paul Heyman, in favor of keeping Russo, and driving away countless talent and other creative sources, like Jim Cornette and Dusty Rhodes, Dixie Carter finally let go.
She once famously told her staff that if the 'Fire Russo' chants did not stop from the crowd, that she would fire someone else other than Russo, until they did stop.
The man who takes full credit for WWF's 'Attitude Era', and none for the demise in WCW's product during the tail-end, has been released officially now, years after fans and workers alike had begged for him to be.
Better late than never, right?
