After falling from the top 4 teams and continuing on a steady decline, being three weeks removed from the final playoff spot, but very much still alive, after the crushing defeat this week to the BCFP, I think it is safe to say that perhaps the Vondies can officially remove all hopes of breaking into the playoffs this season...

"Offense hurt us all season... We just did not have the production across the board. We made some moves to correct this, or so we thought, and it just didn't work out. Our strong suit had been a fairly good pitching staff and our base running, but those steals and getting into scoring position are not gonna help if you can't drive in the runs. We haven't done that all season. We just couldn't get the recipe right this season. Maybe we should have kept playing small-ball, now my grandson Jay Bird could have done it all by himself, He is the greatest human being ever you know????..."

Butch,

How can your team be done? You have every good player I drafted.
