Fireside Chat w/ The Bopp

HullabaLou is this weekend and features a pretty sweet lineup.  Bon Jovi, Gladys Knight, Doobie Brothers, Kenny Chesney, Huey Lewis and the News, Al Green, Dave Matthews Band and sooo many more. Sunday features DMB, The Black Crowes, 38 Special and  Dwight Yoakam and I believe I'll be in attendance.

Happy Birthday Michael Hickenbottom, aka.."The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels.

Paul Heyman to TNA Wrestling rumours continue to persist and should they come to fruition, I believe that the WWE will have its first true competition since the days of the Monday Night Wars with WCW.

Chris Paul is trying to force the Hornets hand and get himself sent out to the Big Apple.  Here's hoping that this move occurs, as I miss the days of the Knicks actually being relevant in the NBA.

Can't understand why T.O. still doesn't have a home. He is still a more than capable receiver who seems to finally be able to not single handedly kill a team from within.

Ozzie Guillen has declared the White Sox closer job as "open". Jenks has had a rough couple outings since the break (and underwhelming year) and Guillen wants to try someone else for a bit.  Jenks recently wrapped up a pretty solid month long stretch, so I don't see this lasting. In the meantime look for Putz and Thornton to split up closing duties.

The bat that Pete Rose used for his final major league hit was up for auction recently and sold for a whopping 159K.  Pete banned and all still draws the fan/collectors attention.  Put this guy in the Hall of Fame and quit being silly.......Sidenote: Check out Petey's galpal(google it).....Amazing.

Accompanied the lil lady to see the animated film, Despicable Me. Must say that it was pretty entertaining and would suggest it if you have any ankle biters around.

Love Led Zeppelin....But is everyone aware of how many songs they ripped off or just completely stole.  I was surprised to say the least after seeing an article on it this past week.

Josh Johnson is a golden god.  Most (including me) are skeptical considering his injury history, but the man keeps shutting teams down.  He now has 18 consecutive quality starts and has given up 1 run OR LESS in 12 of his last 13 starts.

The 9-Irons are playing more like lob wedges since the All-Star break, and I would not be surprised to see  many a dark days ahead for the elder Coleman.

MLB begins HGH testing in the minor leagues.....About time, and if all goes well.......NFL, MLB, etc... will start to see less and less WWE Superstars taking the field.

Sweet Lou is on his way out of Chi-Town after announcing his retirement upon the conclusion of this season.  Always liked Lou and cheered him during his days in Cincy and Tampa Bay. Probably a good time to take off as the Cubs look to be in rough shape for the foreseeable future......Ryne Sandberg getting the call to replace Lou would make me hate this team a lil less, though not much.

BREAKING NEWS: The Royals have dealt Alberto Callaspo for pitcher Sean O' Sullivan......O'Sullivan also known as the missing piece to the Royals winning the World Series this year is currently considered a top 10 prospect in the Angels farm system.

64/60 Week 16 Predictions

Dingers  8-3 over 41129'ers
Carp  7-4 over the Factory
Smackers 11-0 over the Vonderheides
H and D  7-4 over the Duckies
Stars 8-3 over the 9-Irons
Prestige  5-5 PUSH with the Colonels

Enjoy the weekend. And tune in Monday for the return of Burt from his stint on the DL with writers cramp. So go out there and live it up as I'm sure you all have big plans made..........

well said chris.

i like paul anywhere he goes. him to the knicks with dantoni's (sp) system seems like gold to me. however, espn is linking him to the magic as of press time. that would also be interesting. instantly a title contender.

the singles king pete rose should be in the hall but i could give two shits about him. his girl is breathtaking tho.

Orlando was, is , and will be a title contender regardless of if Chris Paul joins the City of Mickey Mouse and a Huge Golf Ball.

That should actually read Pete Rose don't give two shits about you...

I don't care how many songs Led Zeppelin *ahem* took, every band and artist does this, but Zep made the songs theirs. They would be the greatest band of all time if not for their over-use of the word baby.

T.O. will end up with Culpepper and Green in the UFL along with Shane Boyd and Andre Woodson. He did reunite with Mcnabb on Pros vs. Joes to beat Hakeem and some washed up NBA'ers in 3-on-3.

Paul Heyman would be a HUGE signing for TNA, but the whole company needs gutted from the inside...

i agree that orlando is a contender w/o paul. finals run over lebron proved that. however, does anyone have them in the finals next year? doubt it. with paul probably.

they are equal to that of miami if they get paul. position scarcity of top PG and C. not since the showtime lakers has a team had the top PG and C.

this trade talk is huge. equalvilent of payton manning saying he wants out.

i am sure pete rose doesnt give a shit about me. some other things he doesnt give a shit about; extra base hits, by laws of baseball, reds fans, and professionalism. rose is a shitstain on the history pages of my favorite sport.
