Ravens vs. Patriots -7.5 Going against Tom Brady and Co. could be the most miserable wagering experience. It's painful knowing that in the time it takes to make a baby, Brady can be in the midst of a 7-7 85 yard drive capped off by another Patriot Touchdown.
Despite this I find the two possesion spread too much value to pass up. This Ravens defensive unit isn't the caliber of the Super Bowl squad but it is the type of unit that can hold the Patriots offensive output to the low 20's. While the Ravens offense can be a miserable watch at times they should be able to find some success against one of the historically bad defensive teams. Look for the verbally abused Flacco to play well while Ray Rice has 25 touches as the Ravens once again go into Foxboro and escape with a playoff victory.
Giants vs. 49ers -2.5 A rematch from the regular season where the 49ers pulled away late to beat the Giants. New York is a better team at this point but after watching the 49ers last week I would have to say the same about them. The Giants are the more flashier of the two teams but after 17 games it's time the 49ers are embraced. Smith is playing well and the offensive though certainly not the strong suit is capable of putting up 25 plus consistently. While the Giants may have the bigger names on the defensive side it's been the 49ers which has been the much better unit all season long. Sure the 49ers have been very oppurtunistic with turnovers. This trend may not be counted on year after year but in recent seasons teams have been able to ride it to a Super Bowl victory, the Saints certainly come to mind. While I'm not committed to a 49ers Super Bowl win at this point I do believe they will have what it takes to get there.
RECAP: Ravens +7.5, 49ers -2.5
BONUS: For those degenerates like myself who need some action on all the angles take the U50 for the Pats/Ravens and the O42 for the 49ers/Giants.
YTD: 46-35
