Spreadology 2011

Due to the Christmas Holiday the NFL gives to you a full slate of NFL action on Saturday. So while your sharing memories with your in-laws and outlaws and having a cocktail or two enjoy the NFL's gift to you with a little financial action on the side. The only thing that can make the anticipation of the big day better is being up 5 honey by midnight Christmas Eve. It's the Holiday Season go big.

Raiders vs. Chiefs -2.5 Last week the Raiders managed to blow a 13 point lead with 5 to play putting a big dagger in the once certain playoff birth. The Chiefs meanwhile were doing something that no other team had done in a year, beating the Packers, creating a glimer of hope for the playoffs. Two teams, two opposite directions, give me the squad heading into the toilet. The Raiders have more talent and for 14 Weeks of the season they have shown it.

Chargers vs. Lions -2.5 It's December and the Chargers are playing excellent football leaving Chargers fans to wonder why does this happen every year. The Lions haven't been the same team to start the season over the last month but the Bears dimise has them likely one win away from securing a Wild Card spot. Last week in this very post I mentioned my concerns with the Chargers OL they responded by putting 30+ on the Ravens D and scoring on all but one possesion. My concerens have not wavered. Look for Suh and Co. to apply pressure and force this weeks Chargers to resemble underachieving squad everyone has come to love.

Bears vs. Packers -12 The 49ers win on Monday gives the Packers one more week of meaningful football before thier two week hiatus from true competition. The next item on the Packers wish list is securing Home field throughout the playoffs. Standing in they way is a Bears D that has been pummelled here of late and the one and only Josh McCown under center. Santa delivers late on Sunday Night.

Recap: Raiders +2.5, Lions -3, Packers -12

YTD: 31-23
