Owens close to a deal?

We're going to Lukenbach Allen, Texas...With Waylon and Willie and the boys...

After trying for months to get anybody in the NFL to notice he was still breathing, Terrell Owens may have finally gotten a bite. But not from the NFL. Not even from the UFL. Hell, not even from the higher levels of football of the indoor persuasion.
The Allen Wranglers, the same Allen,Texas you may recall that became the hometown of Dusty Rhodes, after his given hometown of Austin kicked him out(damn 80's wrestling was awesome), has offered TO a deal to come play for them in the trenches of the near bottom feeding IFL wars.
Owens is an outspoken, brash, some have even said cancerous, 38 year old wide-receiver who is coming off an ACL injury and has been trying for the better part of the year to get on board with another NFL team.
However, you can't deny that he is a super-talented athlete, who may be in fact one of the best receivers to play the game. And, if his last season in the 'Nati is any indication, he still has something to offer.

Oh, and dude loves his quarterbacks.

At this point, it may be more novelty than athletic endevor. Don't tell Owens that though. To him, it's the most real pursuit of athletic accomplishments he has had in years. Might as well make a buck or two doing it. I guess this is Allen, Texas' bail-out.
