Dana White and Zuffa, the owners of UFC, had made a startling revelation... startling, of course if you are a moron. The UFC has recently filed a lawsuit in New York to allow them to put on one of their MMA Smackdowns. In the suit, UFC fully admits to what I have been trying to tell people for the longest time, UFC is a PRO WRESTLING company. It's one in the same. Same formula, same business structure, and though the douches in hair gel and affliction won't admit to it, the same fan base.
Dana White has been the running the most successful wrestling promotion in the United States since the 'Monday Night Wars' for quite some time now.
Now, we aren't saying that the outcomes are predetermined. However, some of the fights we have seen make for a very good case that at least 40% of them are.
Now, you can say that Dana and his jock-strap superstars, are just saying what needs to be said to be allowed to put on events in NY... I'm sure that the UFC will off the record, so it don't contradict their suit, will say the same thing. There are those who want to believe in the manliness of UFC that will say that Dana is just telling the courts what they need to hear so they will look at it no differently than the WWE.
To a degree, that is what he is doing, but not because they are trying to purposely make people think they are something they are not just to get clearance. No, it's because they are telling the truth.
UFC is pro wrestling.
