In-N-Out The 64/60

I signed up for my first Fantasy League about 12 years ago. At that time I wasn't the numbers obsessed maniac I am now. The pursuit of the next championship wasn't what fueled the fire. My heart belonged to the free beer compliments of the HFL as well as the friendly competition from week to week. Though my passion has intensified over the years I still enjoy a ice cold one or 12 on draft night along with the weekly battle of smacktalk from whomever gets the honor of facing me. As the Benchmark everyone strives to be I get everyones A game. Most would fold under such pressure I relish the moment. Until this past week the moment had never been to big but that has now changed. All it took was one envelope with no return address to realize that the proverbial target on my back could potentially be very real. Due to the potential police investigation I cannot go into complete detail but I can tell you threats were made on my family if I do not take a "dive" in this weeks matchup vs. the Thomas R. Browns. Steps have been taken to ensure my families well being during these dark times but I want all of my fans, including my biggest fan Brandon McClung, to know that the BCFP will not take a dive for anyone at anytime the potential bloodshed be damned. To whomever placed the letter in my mailbox I must issue my own warning to you. After the beatdown I administer this week on the TRB's should harm fall upon me Steven Conners is on the payroll and will seek and destroy. You have entered a world of pain. I hope you have come prepared.

Game Recaps

BCFP 249 vs. Chump Slayers 143. Not a typo boys and girls. If you could script the perfect week the production of the BCFP would have been the result. 9 of 15 players posting double digits with 6 of the 9 north of 20 with 2 30+ pointers.

Curtis Painters Mane 144 vs. Barboursville Stars 143. The Dapper Dan Man escapes with a must win over the Stars. As I stated after the beatdown by the BCFP last week the Mane's had little margin for error. With four still left to be played both teams will likely need a 3-1 stretch to obtain a playoff spot. Although after McClung's recent behavior regarding a future heir to the 64/60 thrown I have a feeling that Karma will destroy any slim playoff hopes.

Marshall Maniac 165 vs. Busy Beavers 120. These Beavers have hit a little dry spell with 5 consecutive losses and what appeared to be a promising season for Mr. Clean is another loss away from being over. The Maniac's have now one 8 consecutive contest after a week one loss. Sure Junior is sitting pretty at the top spot but his tone has changed in recent text and I know that he knows the BCFP is without a doubt the team to beat once the calender turns December.

* 170 vs. 12th Round Kicker 164. So this is what the season has come to for the man who will put the phat in Fat Patty's. Todd's new objective is to put a dagger in the hearts of playoff hopefuls. I suppose misery loves company. The loss may not be a dagger to the heart but it certainly is a flesh cut which requires stitches. Four more contest four more teams with at least a Doug Flutie Hail Mary from a playoff spot.

Seneca Wallace 145 vs. Sons Of Jim Mora 96. Two of the leagues best fighting for placement in the standings to bad the SOJ's didn't get the memo. In a BYE Week nightmare the SOJ's put up a Argumentative 9irons point total in south of 100 and couldn't capitalize on a rather pedestrian week by the Wallaces who now seem poised for a playoff spot with one more victory.

TRB's 170 vs. Argumentative 9irons 150. I don't get it. You are staring immortality right in the face. Weeks away from a perfectly imperfect season a season which has been filled with illegit lineups and weeks of unproductive players in spots reserved for production. Yet here you are submitting lineups with decent players and posting season high point totals. One has to respect the fight but the effort could cost you a spot in the history books. No one will remember 1-12. Congrats TRB's strong week with a big win over a team with as many wins this season as your ownership has 64/60 Championships. This week you step up in class and another victory over a Coleman won't come so easy.

Head Scratcher Of The Week

BCFP- Laurent Robinson. I heard various laughs throughout the day as I am rather certain this move raised eyebrows and concern for my well being. Much like the fool in Office Space who misplaced the decimal, my FAAB budget management went to shit over one minor mistype. I initially put a 2 dollar claim on Robinson but felt it may take over five to land him. I suppose the 2 wasn't deleted thus the $72 total was submitted and I obtained a midlevel fantasy option for the next two weeks and once Miles Austin returns Robinson will return to Waiver Wire level production.

Pick Up Of The Week

Earl Bennett- Curtis Painters Mane. I really liked the $20 purchase of Jacobs by the Kickers however Bennett was obtained via Free Agency thus cost the Mane's nothing. Combine the cost associated with Bennett along with the FAAB mishap by the Factory and now the Mane's have first dibs on all players from this point forward. Back to Bennnett. The Bears are void of a true number one but off all the WR options the Bears have Cutler seems most comfortable with Bennett. I could easily see Earl becoming a solid 5-6 reception WR each week thus only a TD away from consistent double digit production.
