If you notice anything about this site, when it comes to the once in a blue moon nods we give to high school basketball, most often than not, it is in regards to the glory days of D1 prospects and scandal at Rose Hill.

We have tried to make you all familiar with the numerous high level prospects who have came through the small baptist school's doors in the last 12 years or so...

One of those was Chad Jackson. He started his career collegiately at James Madison.
And, unknown to us, he has transferred and will now be suiting up for Northern Kentucky. It being a D2 school, he will not have to sit out. He joins former Rose Hill/Russell/ star Jon Van Hoose, who ended up at NKU after a being quite injury prone from Evansville, as well as former Elliot County sharpshooter Ethan Faulkner.

The trio returned home, or closer to home, from their digs in suburban-Cincinnati, and played the Marshall Thundering Herd in a season opening exhibition at the Henderson Center.

Last year, NKU was ousted in the 2nd Round of the NCAA Div. II Tournament. Van Hoose, now a senior, was the leading scorer on that squad.

The Norse led the Herd 27-33 at the half, but Marshall, led by the monster that will light Huntington up this season, Justin Coleman, went on a 25-3 run in the second half and only seen NKU in the rear view.

If you get the chance, you need to check out Marshall this season.

Another tid bit about the NKU/16h Region connection, the radio man for NKU sports is former WTCR DJ, and Ashland Police Officer Mike Tussey.
That, and the fact that the infamous road trip of Idge and Ev from two summers ago also visited that campus.

NKU will continue it's trek through the Mountain State by playing those no good, sister gropin', couch burnin' banjo pickers, WVU, in Morgantown on Friday night.
