I can only imagine the pandemonium that ensued when Transy went up 11-4. I can also imagine the frustration with how close we were being played by those lil' private school bastards for the first 11 or so minutes of the game.... And that's about it.
Kentucky beat up on the in-city rival of more than 100 years, although they hadn't played in exactly 100 years.
Transy came out and played gritty and physical, of course to the homers at blue hairs, they were playing like thieving little bitches....dirty.
We looked good on D for the most part. we have a great full court game, and Anthony Davis is going to block your shot. Just accept it.
The Hyphenated Assassin is everywhere. He does everything. You will NOT beat this kid.
Kyle Wiltjer lays it up, like a real man, and Darius Miller is going to fit nicely at the helm of the Star ship this season. Seriously, folks, Miller is going to have a HUGE year.
Not too much to dissect in this one, after all it was and exhibition game. There are going to be more growing pains to come.
But, nothing in this game tonight said to me that we are going to struggle or fall flat. In other words, Believe the hype...
Anthony Davis tweaked something during the second half. He did not return, but don't read too much in his evening against Transy being shortened. Besides, as soon as he was helped off the floor, he was very mobile on the sidelines and walking to the team huddles during time outs, which from what I could tell, seemed to happen every 60 seconds. Which lends me to ask, with all these TV time outs by The Big Blue Network, you would think the broadcast presentation would look better than your average high school game on public access. Being I Rupp, i often find myself watching the game from my seat and still hearing that familiar buzz from TV...It's ingrained into my brain. Can't shake it. Like hearing the Macarana on the radio... it sticks.
Stacey Poole did not suit up, so I think it is safe to say that Sr. has enforced his will on Jr.
And, in my return to Rupp, I was happy to see that two things have remained the same: Lexington is still fashionably late for everything, and those assholes still go nuts over Rupp's soft-served ice cream....
