All kidding a side, Clarett can once again wake up in the mornings and listen to the birds sing, and he so chooses to, can go outside and see them, or drink a cup of coffee, or go for a jog, or etc.,
He's free. The ultimate kind of free... No ankle bracelets or anything.
He's also made a return to pro football. If you didn't know this, it's not your fault. He has suited up with other draft day busts and players wanting a 2nd or 3rd go round in the NFL, for the Omaha Nighthawks in the fledgling UFL. Only like 7 people can tell you what's going on in the UFL.
While incarcerated, he wrote various letters to his family, with the purpose of having them on the outside set up a blog, to which people who still tasted the freedom of Moon Pies and Alcohol not made in a toilet , could read and keep up with him and what was going through his head while he was locked up.
Clarett has put pen to paper, again. This time, though, it's telling his story, his life, and in his words. It is also more visible than his families' run prison time blog. It's on GRANTLAND right now, and it's recommended reading.
