Oh, Canada

SDS has posted a piece that is great reading and thought provoking.

The constant debating on what constitutes a college athlete?, should they be paid?, etc., is one that we have had for years. It is also one that does not look to come to an end anytime soon.

Now, I think it is safe to say that reform of the current guidelines may be in order, although, I am not a proponent of paying them. I am of the school of thought that the scholarship and the perks of being a student athlete at these institutions is payment enough.

But, some slack does need let out of the rope.

And, like the linked article says, I think we need to look northward for the answer. No, not spend hours praying , but look towards Canada.

The praying thing doesn't hurt, however.
