For Kentucky Basketball Fans, Summer is agonizing. Unless you want to re-watch YouTube clips of potential commits or start hypothetical arguments on a certain message board, there really is no reason to constantly hit refresh on KSR.(although, I find myself doing so anyways).
The NBA Lock-out has thrown us a bone this summer though, with former Cats and non-Cat pros coming to Lexington to spend some time working out with Coach Cal and using the state of the art Craft Center amenities. And, I'm sure you, if you claim to belong to the EMPIRE, have followed with wet panties the UK Legends(Rondo,Wall,Cousins, among others) vs. Dominican Republic games that will be played this month in Lexington and Louisville, and how the NCAA will nit pick and do any and all things it can to hamper Kentucky's swagger.(Denny Crum has agreed to coach the All-Star Cats in the games. (Fuck you Pitino, we just bitch slapped the Ville way harder with that one.)
But, just to wet the parched Big Blue pallet, passing on some news that Darius Miller has been selected to represent the USA in the U-21 World Championships in China later this month. Miller blossomed in a similar experience as a member of the U-19 team prior to last season. Hopefully, this will translate into Miller having the All-World season we have been getting teased with for the last 3 years. When he is on, It's really hard to imagine anyone in the country being a better ballplayer than Darius. So here is a hearty congrats to Miller, and here is to this upcoming season being 'The Dawning of the Age of Darius'. GO CATS.
