Back when they were more Banana-Rama than Van Halen, The Rock 'N Roll Express made the panties of pre-pubescent girls wet and built a fine collection of training bras. Jerry Lawler, the King himself, through them together and gave them their gimmick as a way to create a mid-card attraction and to soften the blow from Memphis losing the Fabs, who left for Florida. Photo shoots that resemble Glamour Shots were commonplace, and they would not be seen at the arena without their trademark '80's Futuristic' attire with the shiny spandex, and metallic toned trimmings(just look at those awesome tassels). It would be a few years later when they dumped the Solid Gold Dancer garb for the more recognizable bandanas and cut up t-shirts... Oh, and they discovered Aqua Net for the do's. They would continue to evolve the gimmick as they realized 12 year old girls were not the only ones screaming for Ricky and Robert... It was high school girls,too and disgruntled housewives... and some gay dudes, too. Now, some of the screams from small children were probably due to Robert's lazy eye...Creepy.
