In-N-Out The 64/60 Week 13

Could someone please put the Bopp in his place regarding his trade negotiations. Last week the Bopp and I turned the 64/60 thermostat up a notch in a battle of words regarding our trading practices. It is clear to me through the feedback from last week that not everyone approves of my trading practices and I can accept that. What I have found to be humerous is Bopp's denial of being a unjust trading partner at times. Bopp is quick to reference this seasons deals as validation that he isn't the Used Car Salesman, sorry Richard, as I proclaim him to be. Bopp quickly points out that I have signed off on each and every deal, which is factually correct. The dealings I am referencing are all of those Yahoo generated emails that have no doubt filled everyone's Inbox during their time in the 64/60. You know the one's I'm reffering to. The aging former Superstar, the unproven B- prospect, and the overperforming 4th starter for a A player. Or how about the four lowest rated players on his roster for a A player. The Bopp will rationalize these moves by adding the total production of the Waiver Wire equivelant players and compare these totals to his asking price. "I'm giving you 24 HR's and I am only getting 20 in return so the question isn't why should I do this deal but why would this idiot send this." It may have taken a few years but it seems as though everyone has come accustomed to the Bopp's tactics so these signature moves haven't been on display in recent years but that hasn't stopped the Bopp from attempting and who can blame him. Still to this day the Bopp has his way of adding a player or two to a deal with Ev being the likely victim. The Bopp goes back to a time when he was smacking countless rubber baseballs out of Fannin park as a 12 year old and trading baseball cards in the dugout. The Bopp recognizes when he gets leverage agrees to a deal, backs out, then reworks the deal to add another piece in return I have no doubt that every deal the Bopp has made with Lemaster this season has followed this script. So please people put the Bopp in his place give him a good look in the mirror so he can see just how big of a sleeze ball he can be.

64/60 OWNERS: Don't forget Swing and Swim Saturday July 23rd. I will contact each and every one of you at some point this week or next. Please Let me know if you will be attending and how many players will be participating. Remember the ideal format would be 4 player teams playing in a round robin format. Feedback from the streets suggest the Swing and Swim will go to uncharted territory this year and that the turnout will be stuff of legend.

BCFP 6 vs. Emanski 6

It's a shame the most consistent team in the 64/60 couldn't end the first half with a W but I suppose you can't when them all. With the tie the BCFP heads to the break with the top spot in the rankings and a 11-1-2 Matchup record which doesn't mean a hill of beans in the standings but sure does stroke the ego.

9irons 7 vs. Canseco's 5

I keep waiting for the Canseco's to turn it on but I'm begining to wonder if the Bopp has a Over The Top flip the switch moment in him this season. Though he heads into the break in firm playoff contention his lack of consistence is concerning. His longest winning streak is two and he is only 6-8 in his matchups. Now the 9irons on the other hand have a similar record and have been more competitive from week to week then the Canseco's. It is very likely that one playoff spot could be a battle between these two owners who have never completed a season of baseball on the outside looking in come playoff time.

Walls 10 vs. Stars 2. Is a 20-4 mark the last two weeks a sign of things to come for the Walls? As I have said time and time again I loved the Walls post draft but the season hadn't went as I had expected until the last two weeks I think this team barring ownership over consumption of alcohol will nab one of the six playoff spots. For the Stars this was likely nothing more than a look ahead game as this weeks matchup with the Factory has been the only thing on McClungs mind for weeks, outside of the Swing and Swim of Course.

Dog 7 vs. Majesticals 4. I was delighted to see another attempt to undermine the integrity of the 64/60, by William Jesse Ward, fail. Given his terrible collection of pitching the Majesticals went with only a handful of his best starters in hopes to minimize the damage. Fittingly his offense floundered to a certain degree and his pitching handicapped by limited innings lost both K's and QS along with ERA. Todd last weeks ineptitude would have ruined the season of most but you took it for what it was and moved on. Perhaps all of those years of your mothers constant praising of your sister has paid off.

Hendo Colonels 6 vs. LeMaestro's Militia 5. Early last week Lemaster contacted me and went into a full fledged breakdown of the lack of star power the Colonels lineup possesses and for the record I agree. As karma would have it the Militia were victimized by the Colonels best offensive week of the season so despite a 61 Run week and 17 HR's the Militia only managed a 3-2 offensive edge and it was the often criticized pitching loaded front of the draft that lead the way to a Colonels victory his second in a row saving the Colonels season.

tbd 7 vs. Vondies 5. It may be midseason to some but for these two it might as well be the postseason. Consider this matchup as the first of a round robin with the Majesticals for the best of the bottom feeders. tbd one up.

Pickup Of The Week

Joe Nathan- BC Ragin Canseco's. Nathan isn't the Twins Closer yet but his second chance keeps getting closer after each and every Matt Capps outing.

Head Scrathcer Of The Week

BC Ragin Canseco's drop Mike Moustakas for Josh Willingham. Hard to defend a .211 AVG with 1 HR in about a month of action but he is the type with value in the name. Moustakas could have been paired with another player and likely provided the Bopp with some trade value. I am as big a Willingham guy as anyone but the Bopp should have dropped Snider instead of the Staka to obtain him.
