In-N-Out The 64/60

McClung put the cell phone down. No need to send me another text reminding me of my failures as Commissioner of the 64/60 and Editor-N-Chief at 6460sports.blogspot.com. Here is the issues I am having when it comes to putting post on these pages in a timely manner. First and foremost I have devoted so much time attempting to mold a group of 10 year old kids into future Boyd Co. Lions. For the record should this be accomplished it will be the darkest days in the history of Boyd Co. Baseball. The season hasn't went as expected as the Boyd Co. Barracuda's (I had no input on the Name) have a record somewhere along the lines of 4-19 with one of the wins coming over a group of 8 year olds from Wayne. I suppose when you hit rock bottom a win is a win. Back to the time constraint. So after work its directly to ballfield for practice or game. These events wrap up somewhere between 8-9 upon returning home it's to the computer to stay abreast of the events of the day. As my eyeballs head toward the computer screen I catch a glimpse of my wife. When my wife gets angry her nose twitches and four strands of hair on the right side of her face form a horn. Often times I find great humor in her anger, I mean how many people do you know who's hair forms a horn? However after 15 Hours away from home after 7 straight days of Chef Boyardee and Hot Dog dinners not to mention all that time away from a Beefcake such as myself, I can see why my wife would be angered, I know that this isn't a battle I wanna go into. So McClung keep sending me your text of disappointments and though they hurt the pain subsides much quicker than the pain administered by a redheaded vixen with "freakin horns" when scorned.

Game Recaps

BCFP 8 vs. Walls Of Jericho 4. After the draft I had high hopes for these Walls. I liked the makeup of the roster as I felt several of their middle round selections had plenty upside my only concern was lack of activity by ownership. As the season has played out things haven't clicked for Jericho. Sure Bowe and Barker have fell of the wagon at times this season, likely due to being on the wagon, lack of ownership hasn't been the root of the problem. Kinsler and Choo have been high priced disappointments while Scherzer, Morrow, and Soto have been maddening at times for fantasy owners. I still have hopes for this squad as 10-12 players on this roster have top 50 or so talent but I wonder at what point will the losing lead to long nights at the watering hole thinking about what could have been.

Majesticals 6 vs. Ragin Canseco's 5. Last Saturday or Sunday I was mocked by CD Lee for my 5-5 split with the Majesticals a couple of weeks back. The Bopp painted a scenario in which I lost to Jericho while he dominated the Majesticals. Between the Blah, Blah, Blah and the Blah, Blah, Blah spewing out of his mouth his scenario had him leap frogging three teams and being within a handful of games from the top spot. As has been the case with all things this season the Bopp has been a little off. Mike Minor or Bud Norris you remember that Melissa Allen moment Bopp? It's okay no thanks necessary. I'll be the first to admit I liked the roster post draft and omitting the injuries to Mauer, Cruz and Wright wouldn't be given the Canseco's a fair shake. Still yet the roster does have issues. Much like his women the younger the better. The Canseco's roster is filled with Top 100 prospects and anyone who is even mentioned about perhaps being called up next season. Chances are if a news update mentions so and so is called up you will search the waiver wire only to see the Bopp had picked him up three days ago. The Canseco's would be a force to be reckoned with in a Franchise League at this point but leaning on three to four rookies to carry you at times can be a risky proposition but so was being mid-20's with your first Drivers License hitting all the Teen Nights in the Tri-State. Old habits die hard.

Lectors Mutton Choppers 6 vs. LeMaestro's Militia 6. Must have been a bad week in the used car business because GRC3 is fired up over the lack or respect given to the Sheep in this weeks Power Rankings. As I have reviewed time and time again the Power Rankings isn't a matter of opinion. I don't pick and chose the numbers to obtain the results I desire. And the fact is Roto scoring means nothing in a Head-To-Head league but over the years it is clear that a good Roto team will generally be a good Head to Head team so Richard I apologize that your 5th place standing in the Power Rankings pales in comparison to the 3rd place in the standings please use this slight as your motivation to once again fall victim to the Factory in crunch time. It is noteworthy that the Sheep even despite this tiebreaker have a undefeated mark over the last month plus and are a posterchild for what peace of mind can bring to one's life. "Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose." As for Fidel's fighters it's been a rough go of late. 0-4-1 to be exact over the last 5 contest with two of the losses coming to arch rivals. Moral is at a low point in the Gateway City tonight but make no mistake the "Deal Maker" is efforting as we speak and this guy will go down with guns blazing and the term low on ammo doesn't apply to one Everett Lemaster.

Deathsquad 10 vs. tbd 2. I think Alice could be in the eviction process. It has been a dream season for Boog in the early going. The production has been spotty at best yet until a 6-16 mark the last two weeks the tbd had fell no lower than 4th at any point this season. Hanley has been dreadful and the offense was applying Band-Aids when a torniquit was needed the pitching had done enough to keep them in contest. Lately that hasn't been the case and the offense has sunk to new lows. Make no mistake lead by my suggestions the tbd will press onward as there is no quit in this Camp. For Emanski the win marks the 5th in 6 games and the 46-22 edge in those contest have moved Emanski out of the cellar and into a playoff spot should the season end today. I'm not entirely sold on the Deathsquads recent run of dominance but I do know is that Fenney will put the time into pushing all the right buttons.

Colonels 6 vs. Stars 5. Each week you demand this post no doubt to celebrate what up to this point has been a very stellar season. Daily you ask when will the post appear. What time is that going to be up. This week during your 5 minutes of joy you are going to have to hear about a loss to the hands of the lowly Colonels lead by Ben Zobrist on offense. Now I could chose to pick apart your early season triumphs because of this one defeat but that just wouldn't be fair. I will choose to honor the Colonels instead. Sure thay performed out of their minds this week with numbers that will not be duplicated at any point this season but what I admire from Hobson is that the Calender has flipped to June and outside of a handful of incidents his lineup has been legit from week one forward. The Colonels draft strategy has backfired, his offense is in shambles, and here we are on the 15th of June with the Colonels 20 games back but this is the moment the old left hander lives for. Toking away on the back porch some may think he's aloof but it's just the wheel turning in the brain 5 % devoted to the 20 games and 95 wondering when will football be here.

Komodo Dog 9 vs. Vondies 1. I havent conducted the research but I feel confident stating no team has had more high and low weeks than the Komodo Dogs. One week will feature a statline of 45/14/45/6/.290/.810 followed by a 33/7/33/4/.260/.710 the next pitching has also been wildly inconsistent for the Dogs who's 5th place standing, though solid, has to seem underwhelming given Fielder and Adrian Gonzalez have a home on this roster. With that in mind I'm sure the Dog's will take it given the 5 C roster post draft. The Dog's have come along way baby. Sadly the same cannot be said about the Vondies who opened the season with a loss and after a win in week two and a split in Week 3 have done nothing but since then.

Pick Up Of The Week

BC Ragin Canseco's- Mike Moustakas. Take your pick from Ubber Prospect Cover boys Rizzo or Moustakas. Both have the potential upside to be a very productive player down the stretch and both offer things a typical Waiver Wire pickup just can't provide. Moustakas could be a plus HR option and his RBI and Run totals could easily follow suit. Copy and paste the same statement to Rizzo. I give Moustakas the edge for the honors simply because Rizzo cost the Canseco's 10 of FAAB budget while Moustakas was a reward for a quick trigger. I have often said stamina and patience can often be overrated.

Head Scratcher Of The Week

LeMaestro's Militia- Juan Uribe for Adam Kennedy. It's hard to really argue with any of these bottom of the roster changes that happen several times daily. Kennedy is a veteran who's track record suggest will provide you with no plus production who's positive comment would be "won't hurt your average" which is code for .270 hitter. Uribe though big boned fifty and banged up does give you a legit 20+ HR threat at the Keystone position. Sure Uribe may battle Carrol for playing time while Kennedy has the position at the moment but I would when choosing between two players with long track records I'll take the better one every time.
