Spreadology 2010

After long consideration and a 8-3 week it has been decided that the Spreadology Department of 64/60 Sports will not be victimized by budget cuts for the 2011 fiscal year. In celebration of this announcement we would like to present to you five winners to build your Christmas fund and when your kids/wife/significant other opens those extra gifts just take the time to remember who made the Christmas special.

Army vs. Navy -7. At some point Army has to reverse Navy's dominance in this rivalry but until it happens I'll continue to pick the Midshipmen who have won this rivalry for several season without any resistence.

Raiders vs. Jaguars -4.5. Jaguars are among the hottest teams in the league while the Raiders have fell from playoff contention. In years past the Raiders would lay a egg in this spot then hit cruise control the rest of the way. I just think this Raiders team in better than that. I expect a hard hitting affair that will be tightly contested until the final whistle. I'll take the Raiders and the value of the 4.5 points.

Patriots vs. Bears +3. Sure the Bears are leading the NFC North with a 8-3 mark but the Patriots are coming off a very impressive streak of big wins in big games highlighted by the thumping of the Jets on Monday. Yet the line is only 3 points it's a smelly line that we here in the Spreadology have a nose for it's the lone bright spot of having a large snouser. Bears win this game outright and erase the doubt to their legitacy.

Falcons vs. Panthers +7.5. No need to disect the Panthers, they are just a bad football team. The offense is void of any type of playmaker and they are lead by a rookie QB who, desptie being a Notre Dame, I'll admit doesn't have the A level talent. Defensively they have their moments but more often than not they are victimized by TOP or lack their of from the Panthers offense or are put in bad situations to often. The Falcons are coming of two consecutive big games and typically struggle on the road so a letdown is possible but I am willing to take my chances.

Ravens vs. Texans +3. Texans defense just can't stop anyone and their offense though good hasn't been consistent up to this point. The Ravens are to good of football team to lose two in a row and are more than capable of winning a shootout against the Texans if it comes down to that.

RECAP: Navy -7, Raiders +4.5, Bears +3, Falcons -7.5, Ravens -3
