It's only because Castro hasn't died yet...

Rick Pitino has agreed to coach the Puerto Rican Men's National Team.

Now, I am not sure what convinced him to do so. Maybe he fell off a table while entertaining Mrs. Sypher. Maybe he was upset that Louisville doesn't play in the Puerto Rico tip-off tournament. Or, maybe he is trying to open up a pipe line straight to the Island instead of relying on the Island coming to inner-city New York, then becoming thugs, then signing with Pitino.

Whatever the case, he did it.

Puerto Rico having a national team, has always been somewhat of a joke to me. It's Not like the Netherlands-Antilles had a separate Olympic team. It would be like Wyoming deciding that they wanted to represent themselves in the Olympics, rather than being represented by the country that owns their collective ass.

But, it will be nothing but a bonus to the Island to get Pitino to coach them.

So here's to you, Puerto RICKo.

He must really hate Coach K. And these United States.
