In-N-Out The 64/60 Football Week 10

It always hurts to lose to Chris. It had been so long I had forgot what it felt like. It's not like Chris is a 12 year old hitting of a pitching machine when it comes to Fantasy. Sure he doesn't have the makeup of a legend such as myself but he is a knowledgeable owner who year in and year out builds a winner. Perhaps the timing of the loss couldn't have been worse. A win last week would have put me two games clear of the 7th spot and with only three to play, would essentially clinched a playoff spot. Now I must fend off the pesky Tree Fiddy who are the only team outside of the top 6 who have reasonable playoff aspirations. The Fiddy can thank their Barboursville Stars for the advantageous position. The Stars ended the playoff hopes of the Chock-Shock-Oww who after weeks of roster cruise control finally took a loss even after using a full roster for the first time in about a month. Don't fell bad for the Chocktaw no doubt ownership has washed away any sadness with a case of the Yueng and old VHS tapes of Starcade. For those owners who took steelerdomination three weeks ago and their 3:2 odds of clinching a playoff spot you may have a loser. Three straight losses have steelerdomination in the 6th and final spot. steelerdomination's ownership hasn't been good. Not starting a complete roster and lack of week to week roster management are to be blamed for this slide. Can it be corrected I suppose so but one has to wonder after weeks and weeks of no guidance has this team quit on their owner? After three straight weeks of winning football the Jitsuers find themselves at the top of the standings once again. It didn't seem that long ago that the Jits were in the midst of a two game slide and losers in 3 of 4. Looking back on it the Jitsuers only had one bad week during the stretch and played well enough to win in three of the four. For as much grief as I give the bad guy it should be known that this squad has been the best up to this point and deserve the top billing. I often give Bill Fenney praise for his ownership yet up to this point that attention to detail has netted Fenney only one playoff appearence in 5 seasons and that was a baseball appearence in 08 it appears as though that streak will come to a end likely as soon as next week. Well deserved Fenney, well deserved. Dammit Hobson if you get into the playoffs and I am left out in the cold because of some damn tie to the FV Slobber Knockers I'm gonna drive to Lexington break into Casa Hobson lace your stash with some kind of laxative and load your toilet seat down with Icy Hot. All of this while I'm drinking your beer watching your TV and having your wife cook my some of those awesome pancakes she made that Sunday morning all too long ago. Once you pry your ass of the toilet will hit the town eat beer and go to some coed bar downtown and be the pathetic 30 year old hanger-ons who salivate at the site of the long-legged lady decimating the dance floor. GRC3 and McClung your teams don't warrant any recognition but your loyalty to the 64/60 Sports Blog deserves a shout out.

Lee 143 vs. Coleman 128. Won't say I lost to a better team but the Amish are a force to be reckoned with. 8 DD performers will usually earn you a W. I would bitch about two players netting 0 pts. but I figure Bowe's 43 made up for it.

MOP- Bowe 43

Davidson 125 vs. Malone 107. Everytime I see the name Davidson I always think of Brian, Boyd County Class of 97, who named his son Harley. Yes Harley. Anytime I have ever heard the name announced there is always of chorus of chuckles that follow.

MOP- Roddy White 37

McClung 141 vs. Gilbert 133. It just doesn't seem fair mail it in one week and get the win. Spend countless hours working on the Optimal lineup and end the day a loser. Nice to see a down and out owner such as McClung plugging in a lineup week after week for the spirit of the game.

MOP-Andre Johnson 29

Ward 139 vs. Hobson 103. A playoff position battle sent the Kickers to the 5th spot and put Jesse and the Jits at the top. The Kickers had a suprising bad week from Mendenhall, Witten and a very rare 6 pt output from Peyton while the Jits had 3 20 pointers. The most interesting matchup was the defensive units as neither defense scored a point and they weren't facing BYE.

MOP- Steven Jackson 28

Whitley 149 vs. GRC3 125. I really wanted GRC3 to cause some 64/60 controversy this week by laying down for his little nephew but the cranky old car salesman would have none of it. Since there would be no lay down the Fiddy was forced to play it out on the field and they did just that posting a league high 149 thanks to a good ground game and a big day from Calvin Johnson. I always wish my nephew the best but when it comes to 64/60 Fantasy I want nothing more than the Fiddy to get smacked around next week.

MOP- Mike Wallace 33

Fenney 133 vs. Hardy 87. The win essentially clinched a playoff spot for the Hunters while the loss for the Asses defined a season. It's been a long miserable season for Jamison and he has finally accepted defeat. For those who don't follow the team slogan Hardy posted this beut of a quote: "A once great champion...now a study in mopishness..."--random oriental dude from Better Off Dead with John Cusack. Your season may be over but it can't take away the fact that you are a dead on Kenny Powers.

MOP- Vick 47

Pickup Of The Week

Ryan Mathews- Tree Fiddy. This is more of a product of limited impact players then the addition of talent. Mathews has been a huge bust this season for anyone who spent a high draft pick which is likely the case. Mathews isn't the clear cut number one but I could see him taking that role as the calender turns to November and December. If Fiddy can capture a playoff spot Mathews could bring a nice return.

Head Scratcher Of The Week

Fiddy trades Ronnie Brown and Pierre Garcon to the Bounty Hunters for Steve Smith(NYG). Fiddy gives up a disappointing Ronnie Brown and a 2 or 3 WR option depending on the week for a go to guy in a pass heavy offense. In typical conditions this is a win win for both teams depending on the needs of both. However Smith will likely be out two weeks and the Fiddy being a fringe playoff team need a immediate impact. For the record neither owner was aware of the injury when the trade was processed and in typical Fenney first class fashion he offered to reverse the deal. Todd manned up and realized he hadn't done his due dilegence and took the trade as he should have. Todd's reasoning makes sense a healthy Steve Smith is a better option then the up and down production of both Garcon and Brown in the playoffs however Garcon and Brown are more likely to get you there at this point.
