CBA, but not that CBA...Contraction, and stupid team names in crappy markets...THE NBA D-League Draft

Why they have one, I don't know, but the modern day equivalent to the old CBA, which still exists, I think, the NBADL, is hosting their draft tonight, and it is ongoing as I type...Now, a league who was just talking about 'contraction' in regards to the league's financial stability and future in terms of a different kind of CBA(collective barganing agreement), is pushing forward with it's developmental league and trying to groom projects or re-hab fallen investments to get back to the league... And therecould be another class of draft Cats... Shingarie Alleyne, Jared Carter, and Perry Stevenson are all on the board and avaialble...They are trying to join former Cat Razor Ramon Harris by being involved in the D League... Harris is trying to make the roster in Reno for the Big Horns... The D-League is a very valuable tool for the NBA to utilize and has sent many players to the League for those vaunted 10 day contracts at various points in it's brief lifespan... And before the season is out, I think it is a very safe assumption that Daniel Orton, and his dad, could wind up in the D-League for more seasoning at some point this season... And maybe Patrick Patterson too, who the Rockets are going to patiently take their time with and groom to be an NBA caliber player, which I think won't take that long...
I would love to see the Space Head Shingari secure a spot in the league, and The Platypus would be deserving of another second or two of organized ball....
And the most prolific shooter from Kentucky since Rex Chapman, Chris Lofton has been drafted in this edition of the draft. He was selected 6th by Iowa Energy in the first round...
As I type I am keeping up with draft and can now note that Perry the Platypus has been slected with the 4th pick in the 2nd round by the Tulsa 66ers, and in the 6th round, with the 2nd pick, the Eerie BayHawks pick up Jared 'I got Skillz' Carter, and at the end of the 8 round drama intense roller coaster that is the D-League draft, Space Head was not selected... But Scooter Mcfadgen was...

* Quick re-count- Spacehead Linus (Shingari) was actually selected in the draft, which was a minor omission on my behalf...he was picked up in the later part of the 7th round by the Austin Toros.
Go CATS.
