The playoffs are now only just around the corner. With the top 5 seeds looking to be locked up (final seeding is still in question), only Josh and Todd are seemingly left to fight for the 6th and final playoff spot.
Bo's Bad Asses VS. Tree Fiddy
104...............111
MVP- MoJo
Recap- Pretty even matchup that was decided by a mere 8 pts. Despite 1 only 1 player eclipsing 20 points, Tree Fiddy were simply a lil bit more balanced on the day. The win sinks James further into fantasy purgatory while Whitley seems to have taken control of his playoff destiny.
Barboursville Stars VS. SteelerDomination
94.....................117
MVP- Jeremy Maclin
Recap- Just when it seemed that SteelerDomination had checked out for the season, they answer their doubters and most likely secure a playoff spot. The Stars were solid in most spots but only Cedric Benson had what could be called a " big" day which provided enough room for the loss and VIP pass to Loserville with JamesOn.
Argumentative 9-Irons VS. Jui-Jitsuers from The land of Jesse
114.........................129
MVP- Brandon Lloyd/Phillip Rivers
Recap- Entering the Monday night game, the Jitsuers were trailing Ahmad Rashard and needing two solid games out of Rivers and Lloyd to overtake the 9- Irons and maintain his first place positioning. He got more than enough and has probably earned himself a bye in the playoffs. GRC III however has continued his record setting losing streak and continues to hate fantasy football as of this writing.
12Th Round Kicker VS. Chocktaw Shock-n-Aww
158.....................95
MVP- Greg Jennings
Recap- 12th Round Kicker continues to stemroll towards the playoffs with his sights on a bye, while the Chocktaw are now forced to look towards next year as his slim playoff hopes have officially died. Jennings, Manning and the "Superman" of Cleveland, Peyton Hillis all topped 25 points and put what is possibly the beating of the season upon the boys from C-Burg. Ray Rice finally had a good game for Gilbeto, but it would seem to be too little, too late.
FV Slobber Knockers VS. BearCreek FP Factory
129.....................119
MVP- Reggie Bush
Recap- The Slobber Knockers had 7 guys score in double digits this week, led by Lesean McCoy's 24. While Burt, had two guys eclipse that number on the week it simply wasnt enough as the rest of his team combined for 60pts.
The Slobber Knockers had a goose egg out of Eagles tight end Brent Celek in his matchup with the Giants in which he was only targeted once. So in a close game that was only decided by 10pts. It was Burts decision to start Reggie Bush who sat on the sidelines in sweats that might have cost him this victory and possibly a playoff spot.
Bounty Hunters VS. BC Fightin Amish
153..............144
MVP- Steve Johnson
Recap- I love Steve Johnson. Any Kentucky alum, I will fully support and root for. The man who got loose against the Cards of Louisville apparently is also very capable of getting loose against the vaunted Cincy Bengals defense. He and Fred Jackson single handedly beat the Amish with a combined 66pts rather than their projected 22pts. Again the scheduling gods have made the Amish feel like Jodie foster on a pinball machine as the 153 of the Hunters would be hard for anyone to match on the year, much less in a given week. The Bounty Hunters move into 2nd place while the Amish who had dreams of the #1 spot in the standings fall all the way to 4th place after Dan Carpenter and Antonio Gates(A late scratch)/Randy McMichael decided not to show up for their games.
LOOKING AHEAD
#4 BC Fightin Amish
VS.
#7 Tree Fiddy
#3 12th Round Kicker
VS.
#5 SteelerDomination
#2 Bounty Hunters
VS.
#6 BearCreek FP Factory
Pickup of the Week
There was no significant pickup this week.
Head Scratcher of the Week
The Bear Creek FantasyPoint Factory dropped "The LawFirm" BenJarvu Green-Ellis this week so that he could pick up Reginald Bush.
Bush managed to total 0points although he did pass out several cups of Gatorade to his teammates(Needs to be a stat next year), while Ellis managed 96 Rushing Yards with 1 Touchdown adding 1 reception for 4 yards and totaling enough points on the day to have given Burt the Win this week had he been kept and started by the Factory.
