Lettin' The Bruce Loose...Seriously, you're fired...

In Tennessee, they usually ask for 'chew' not 'Jew'....But, it is undeniable the success that Bruce Pearl has had in Knoxville. He helped the school put it's basketball program on the map alongside it's football program, WOMEN'S basketball program, Stock-car racing, Pro Wrasslin' and Bass Fishin;...in that order. He also did it by providing an oppurtunity for Chris Lofton to light up his home team that didn't want him(Tubby's doing). But, like ANY D1 coach, he has a spotty past. Recruiting scandal while as an assistant at Missouri, blowing the whistle on Illinois, and now after various bad decisions while at Tennessee(I'm on a boat, probably with underage girls too, mutha fucka) and various comments that he should not have made, The Bruce, The Earl of Pearl, has come under fire for more recruiting infractions. That's already old news though, that story broke months ago. We all know that. He said he was sorry, but the NCAA said f you Bruce. Right now, there is no clear cut decision on what will become of Tennessee's Immediate future, or Bruce Pearl's and his staff, one of the staff has already been given the gag order and is not allowed to recruit at all, and Bruce has been punished with the amount of time he can spend recruiting too. One key underlying fact is that Bruce Pearl is working without a contract. At any moment Bruce Pearl could quit or be fired without any advance notice... My money says that before the start of the season, Bruce Pearl will be gone from Knoxville... It will take alot away from the University, and the SEC by not having his charisma pacing sidelines and doing Bruce-type things. It will take a little of the edge off the feud with Tennessee's first-cousin's in Lexington. It will be a little less exciting that is for certain...But I would like to go ahead and name the 5 people most deserving of being placed as Head Coach of the Vols....
5.) Bill Bradley- The man who taught me and thousands of others the art of the motion offense and '5'...
4.) Alan Houston- Alum, and arguably the best Kentucky Born NBA player ever.
3.) Josh Pastner- Just because it would be cool to see Memphis lose another coach to the SEC.(Thank you from BBN)
2.) Bobby Knight- no reason than just to whip his ass again, in conference this time.
1.) The most qualified applicant for the job.... Pat Summit. She is more of a man than anybody we can think of.

My only comment, which has little frame of reference to the point of this article, is that I once shared a plane with Bruce Pearl and the man is 5'6".
