In-N-Out the 64/60 Season Ending Edition

The end of another Fantasy Season. The end of the Football season is especially difficult because you realize that it is another 3 mos or so until Baseball is in session. What are we to do now while at work are we actually expected to be productive? My mornings will be empty without the morning dose of 64/60 drama. The blog activity barely has a pulse during this down time but I am hoping continued contributions by Joshua Gilbert and perhaps a return by the Football Champion Christopher Lee as a contributor can keep the blog going full steem ahead during this down time.
The 09 Football season was the best thus far during the three year run of the 64/60in terms of Football. Once again we had 12 owners competing in the league and each and everyone remained active throughout the season. Of the 12 teams 10 had legitimate playoff hopes as late as Week 12. And in the end 8 teams had playoff hopes until the last week of the season. The final playoff spot came down to the tiebreaker format. When you go into the season you hope that each of these circumstances play out and if so the season is a huge success.
The Championship game itself was quite a game. The Amish had the suprising advantage at QB but the Asses won the WR position handidly. The RB spot was a push as was the K position. The Amish took a 24 point lead into the Sunday Nigt Cowboys vs. Redskins game but both Miles Austin and Marion Barber had big games scoring 9 and 13 respectively. It appeared all but over for the Amish as the Asses needed only 4 points from their defense for the win and Back To Back titles. Somehow the turnover prone Bears lit up the Vikings for 36 points netting a 2 point loss in the scoring for the Asses and creating a little history for Christopher Lee as he becomes the first member of the 64/60 to have won a Championship in both Baseball and Football.
It was quite a year for Chrissy. He nearly ran wire to wire during both the baseball and football regular season and althoug he couldn't capture the hardware in baseball a football championship is a nice consolation prize to go with the first Owner Of The Year Award. If you recall Christopher also became the first owner to bring use the "Draft Analyzer" during a draft. It still took Chrissy 45 minutes to make picks and I hope his success doesn't create a trend. In the first edition of the In-N-Out for football I stated the following.... ....the best teams will have either a top 5 back or 3-5 players among the top 25 overall that will guide them to the playoffs once the playoffs begin it is just a matter of health and matchups. To my pleasure the Amish featured Maurice Jones Drew #2 Back and 4 players within the Top 25 overall. The strength of the Amish was at WR with all three regular starters ranked among the Top 25 at the position. The bottom line is that Chris did a wonderful job drafting, his team remained healthy, and like all league winners he got lucky on the way. Does anyone recall the appointing of Garrard as a franchise QB that the Amish made? Luck would have it that Matt Shaub would be selected a few rounds later.

As for the rest of us we are left wondering what went right and what went wrong so we can learn from are failures and correct them for the next season. Since I am the resident Fantasy Expert of the company regardless of what the Corey Haim wanna be claims I will recap the 09 season of all teams.

Bo's Bad Asses- Another long playoff run this one ends just short of paydirt. The Asses fetured a every day lineup with all players scoring over 100 points on the season. What Went Wrong: Those Damn Vikings.

Hendo Colonels-Solid production from RB, QB and WR throughout the year. What Went Wrong: Inconsistent Play from the RB position and WR spot. Ronnie Brown Injury was huge.

FV Slobber Knockers- Drew Brees and Joe Flacco put up huge numbers at times and the Knockers total points where second best in the league. WHat Went Wrong: Lack of production from WR's 2 and 3 and the 2nd RB at times.

Urinators- I am still puzzled that a team that featured Chris Johnson, Tony Romo, Larry Fitzgerald, Ricky Williams and Vincent Jackson didn't do more damage throughout the season but I suppose it comes down to matchups from week to week. What went Wrong: 3rd WR spot was a juggling act of ineffective player.

Bear Creek FP Factory- Ray Rice was huge and Manning was Manning. What went wrong: Like most teams the WR spot killed me in particular Calvin Johnson.

bernie leroy- The record didn't warrant his production. All regular starters scored over 100 points other than Driver who scored 98 had he made the playoffs he could have won the Championship with Ryan Grant's big late season performances. What went wrong: Bad Luck and Steven Jackson plays for the Rams.

Bounty Hunters- Had some scheduling luck along the way as 900 points scored was near the bottom of the league but still posted a 8-6 mark. Favre and Moss were huge. What went wrong: NO production from the RB position.

Hell and Damnation- Dallas Clark was sensational along with Tom Brady and Andre Johnson. What went wrong: No RB production and Percy Harvin injuries.

Beaker Breakers- Team was really good scoring the third most points in the league. Five regulars scored over 100 points for the season. What went wrong: the shady day to day operations of the Breakers create bad Kharma.

Arguementative 9irons and Barboursville Stars- The pain and misery has finally ended.

Karma shmarma.

Two words summarize the reason for the season.

Jesus Christ....er maybe.. oh yeah...Jesus's Philly equivalent.

Brian Westbrook.

2nd round pick produced virtually no points. The remainder of the season was spent looking for a RB.

In addition, I had the by far the hardest schedule.

Regardless, my team blew like Amy Applebottom.

FYI. Joke of the year.

I can't believe I didn't get more applause from that one.
